What a battle! Yeah nicely unusual color scheme, it's really like to fight a Rainbow. And what a twist, the game seemed closed and then it turned upside down. I do believe Justin deliberately sacrificed those 2 taurosaurs at the beginning, to lure your guards out of position, to deal with relative ease with your weaker units, using those blocks of skinks-caiman
Entirely possible. If so, I totally wasn't expecting him to throw away 2 expensive monsters to lure me that far out of position.. But, it worked in the end!
Ok Lustria, here's your 2nd treat of Buckeye Battles... another Saurian Ancients player, and this time, with a freaking Alpha Carnosaur.. good thing I have no shooting or magic to kill it?? Uh oh..
It was a truly big gamble that charge with the Carnosaur, hoping in a successful overrun. That failed bet doomed the entire game, but it was well played on your part. Kudos.
Really nice to see you back again on VS. It's a break on buckeye battles? will we see the end of the tournament?
Game 5 was the end. I have a wrap up video on my channel, I just didn't share it here because this is all battle reports
I know Skaven are one of our most hated foes, but I feel bad for those rats. Yeah, there was not really much more that could have been done... that combat of the Vermin Hulks has been a decisive point, but even with a success, I don't think the game could have been winnable. The score would have been closer, though. Nice game.
Perhaps. But what I was thinking during the game was that if the VH could win that combat (and they should have), then they have the position of the Meat Grinder and the Plague Disciples at turn 4, instead of turn 5 - and not forced to overrun and be out of position. That gives me all 3 of those units to charge into one of his scoring units, and potentially drawing the objective and tying or slight winning the game. But when that failed, I had to sac the other two units so that unit of squigs didn't come eat my bunker, and it was all over.
