Guess you will have problems with the basti... as it not has a SAURUS keyword...

So it is all about deployment across the board with that starhost?

You are correct, you can NOT exceed the point limit. But it gives us the new deployment option of "deep-striking" parts of our army, which is awesome!
Though remember that it is not unlimited range, you still have to be 18" from the Slann (unless you're on a vortex). But you could summon a few units, and then teleport the slann to a new location, and keep summoning from there. Maximum trolling.

    Fixed.

Only saurus units are summonable so bastiladon is not able to be summoned for free.

Looking at the wording of the command trait you can teleport the Slann itself. Put him on the field then teleport him as close as needed to the other army and start summoning guys right on top of them and theres nothing they can do about it.

Or sit him on say the left side of the table, summon half your units onto an objective there, teleport the Slann over to the right side of the table and summon more units to get board control immediately in the first round. Could be very powerful and unlocks a TON of possibilities for movement and board control.

    About the artefacts:

1: meh. Too random for me.

2: pretty good even though not completely reliable.

3: It doesn't say mount weapons are illegal (like other weapon artefacts do)!! So say hi to the Carnosaur with -2 rend on his Jaws attack!

4: Maybe good as a safety measure against foot of Gork or a similar destructive but hard to cast spell, to make sure it doesn't work. Otherwise.... meh.

5: good for a melee hero like an Eternity Warden or an Oldblood. Does sound like it isn't one use.

6: this is not just once is it? Sounds like every turn. Not bad. You could give it to an Astrolith Bearer, teleport him somewhere you need him. Since he doesn't move anyway that's the perfect item for him. if you want to move him just teleport him.

So, four out of six are good. Nice.
Btw, are we still allowed to pick order artefacts if we are Seraphon allegiance? Yes, right? Then quicksilver potion is still a good option, too. That would make five useful artefacts to choose from.

I still had hoped for one increasing casting or defense against mortal wounds. But well, we got other good stuff. :)

Something I noticed in the extras section of Fangs of Sotek.

    -Shadowstrike isnt there, pretty dissapointing.

-"Any number of additional Seraphon units"

Thats pretty damn important. Makes your whole army a one drop regardless of what you suppliment your formation with.

Yeah one Bataillon doesn't contain Thunderquake and the other one doesn't contain Shadowstrike. Would have loved Dracothion with Thunderquake.

    Well, can't have it all!

Any builds that you would recommend against Sylvaneth? :)

    Hi Guys,

I am having trouble understanding how dracotjian's tail work, and this is why.

It says in the battalion that the slann can cast as many summoning spells per turn as long as They have the saurus keyword and they are from different warscrolls (that is clear) however since this is the slann casting summoning spells would the unit size be restricted to the max descrived in the spell?

For example would I be restricted to unly summoning 10 saurus? Or would I be able to summon a unit of 40 if I wanted to?

Thats a very good question, I would argue its the max on the spell just cause thats what i want. But it is definitely unclear and may need a FAQ before we know for sure.

Wait, I thought you could only summon in the units that you prepared from your starhost? Like a multi teleportation mechanic?

The thing he's talking about is on the warscrolls it says if you roll X for the spell casting roll you can summon Y models. Does the battalion over ride that and you can summon 40 warriors at once? Cause going off the warscroll you can only summon a max of 20 models.

It sounds like it is basically a set up outside the board thing, and position them better ability. So if you set up 40 Warriors you can them summon the 40 Warriors unit.

I also believe this was the intent and I hope it is like this.

But it is not clear and therefore I am not sure.

About the fangs of Sotek, do you get that +3 bonus on charges in the first turn as well? If not, what are the advantages?
