Messi is great but I have never been a big fan of football. I like American Football better. Weird for a German, I know, but that's how I roll.
I'm not a fan of football either. If you're going to make me play a team sport, I'd probably go with cricket - I'm stereotypically British that way. To be honest though, I'm not really a sporty person and don't massively enjoy watching or playing it
I mean, I know nothing about football, but wouldn't it be cool to see skinks playing the mayan ball game?
Hmmmm we could create our own fun rules.... Is there any good information what the rules of that ball game were? .....summoning @Warden ......
I have just had a brainwave... *** sniffs *** (At least I hope it was a wave...) Two teams of five OR two teams of ten. Each team starts with 50 points. The ball may be kicked, elbowed, swatted, slapped, head-butted or punched. The ball may not be caught and thrown except for ***two exceptions. The first ***exception is when the game starts, the ball may be thrown once to get it moving. The objective is to send the ball through the hoop on the wall. This counts five points for the last team to touch the ball. The ball must not touch the ground. This causes a loss of one point to the team that lets it touch. After the ball hits the ground the team that was Not penalized ***can throw the ball to get it moving again. A line in the dirt is marked perpendicular to the wall, dividing the court into two sides, one for each team, and that determines who gets the penalty if the ball hits the ground. Each team must defend its turf and at least keep the ball in the air if they can. The first team to reach 100 points is declared the winner / the first team to reach Zero points is declared the loser. These ^ totally made up rules ^ for the Mayan Game brought to you by the fevered mind of Pendrake. All rights reserved; All rotten vegetables will be dodged.
What this thread needs is a fully functional endless meme generator: http://inspirobot.me/ Turns ^ out, there is such a thing. (But for all I know you lot exhausted it 58 pages back...)
