He looks great just one thing, I think your base needs more colour at the moment it's very close to the colour of the horse.

But he does look good, your fair cracking out the models atm. ;)
 
Honestly, I have no idea. I didn't really want a baby floating up on my banner, so that's why I painted him black. Looks a little less human that way. But to answer your question, no, there are no gears in it's torso.

I really think it was just a stupid solution for the modeler as to why the banner was extended out to the side of the model. It doesn't really physically work that way. It was probably an after thought. Someone said, "Why is the banner floating out to the side like that when the horse looks like it just came to a sudden stop?" Clearly, they wanted to show off the banner and having it flying out in front of Ludwig probably hid him too much. Insert cherub carrying a meat tenderizer and problem fixed. Lol.
 
Since I''m not too far off with finishing up on my 25 Halberdiers, I've started a repaint of these old Teutogen Guard.

I have 20 of these guys and I also just bought 20 Teutonic Guard from Norba Miniatures. Good stuff! I'll see how well they stack up as soon as I get my order in! http://norbaminiatures.com/en/3-miniatures

Wow those look fantastic, they would be right at home in any Empire/Ulrik army!
 
Phenomenal work, may I ask how you made that exquisite banner? It looks freehand too, really amazing. I am very curious about what materials you used.
 
Just paint and brush dude! It's a standard Empire State Troop banner and model. I just freehand painted it. I'm so glad you like it though!

Yup I didn't phrase the question well :banghead: oops

I was wondering if it was the standard banner that came with the kit or not, glad to know it comes with a large surface area to paint on! Amazing job, your paint job is indeed exquisite :artist:
 
Thanks! I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in the shield. So tiny though! Oh, well. I can live with it. Too much else to get to painting!
