I feel the same: a little spam is usually fine in threads like this one, but when I am approaching an "objective", i like to post meaningful contents.
Yeah same here. I usually don't care much about post count but even I tend to post a bit more once I am near some round number (If I notice I am near one that is), no clue why since it really shouldn't matter. Must be some strange human psychology effect.
Well after this post I'm 15 away I think we can safely say I will make it this week, what do you say @NIGHTBRINGER ?
Huh. Fun fact: Most of the time I post from my phone so I don't see my post count unless I deliberately check, which I seldom do. Just checked though, and noticed that I am just a few posts away from being a half-Slann (if that is even a thing ) so yeah.... consider this a spam post I guess.
You guys are too funny! Are we making fun of my beloved Just for laughs thread? (which happens to have the largest view count of any thread on the entire forum ). Even if you discount those posts and the posts from my many Star Wars threads, I still easily surpass the Slann threshold. Historically, my primary interest in the forum was always Warhammer tactics & discussion. When that died and was replaced by AoS, I lost that connection to the forum. The thing is, I found that I really liked the community on this forum, so I didn't want to slowly fade away from it. So now I post about all sorts of topics that interest me and have gotten some really great discussion out of it. As for the memes, well there is a story behind that too. Excellent my friend! First you shall reach Slannhood, and then you can look to dethroning @Bowser from the 3rd place spot on the all time post count list! (unless of course our beloved @Bowser comes back to defend his bronze medal standing)
Sounds like someone went into defensive mode, eh? Really no need to, I enjoy all of your threads. EDIT: Also this was post 2500 it seems. I am a Half-Slann now!
I remember all too well when AOS came out and you left the forum for a while, you where missed and I'm glad your back posting rubbish, err I mean useful polls on all subjects
He's a funny and lovable goofy comic relief character aimed at children, nothing wrong with him. ...but we had that discussion already I guess.
Jar Jar is the AoS of Star Wars. AoS is the Jar Jar of wargaming. Nothing! Nothing is right with him. Funny? - I know very few people who find him funny but I know many people who find him extremely annoying and distracting. Lovable? - An interesting description for literally the most hated Star Wars character of all time.
Yeah because people who are not the target audience hate him with a passion that is horribly disproportional to his real impact on the movies. Very strange. Must be bored people. Probably the same guys who hate My Little Pony so much that they actually buy toys to destroy them...
My point still stands. The character was massively unsuccessful, which is why his subsequent roles in episodes II and III were so diminished. He obviously didn't get enough support from the intended target audience (children) to keep him in the following movies in any capacity beyond a cameo. So either he didn't hit the mark with his intended audience or the intended audience was too small of a subsection of the movies real audience (most of whom were massively annoyed by him). I'd like to think it was a combination of both the factors I outlined above. Points can be argued back and forth, but history is the ultimate tie breaker... and Jar Jar came out on the losing end of it.
