AoS 2018 is gonna be another tough year

    Bonesplitterz have one or two decent lists, based on the Kunnin' Rukk Bataillon mostly, but the Brutal Rukk also offers some possibilities.

    I want to sy 2000 points is the usual but I'm not 100% sure @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl . Fyreslayers are in a good spot right now for sure. Ghb2018 is going to be our time to shine lol. Hopefully.

    well taking a quick look at em; they're orruks so they're fairly sturdy, they've got a crapton of anti-monster stuff. They've got an anti-horde spell. They've got quite good support characters. Given that they're orruks they're good in melee. Their stuff actually synergizes well. And since it's only like 8 units it's not like you have trouble getting the synergies going (unlike us, we rarely manage more synergies than 1 battalion and that tends to be specialised...) and it makes it more difficult to take out the lynch-pin units as you probably have a backup. On top of that they've got capable archers, cavalry, wizards and infantry. All in all they actually seem like a decent if small faction. And that's without looking at possible allies or the specific allegiance rules... they actually seem quite good :p

    The Battletome also has some great stuff in it.
    That being said: their many wounds hardly make up for their abysmal save and bravery. Without their bataillons they are not really good. Competitively they are more or less a one trick pony. I don't think anyone has ever played something other than the Kunnin Rukk in a Tournament. It is by far the strongest option they have.

    Yeah I've never seen anything other than a kunnin rukk either. I used them in my stores path to Glory campaign they did alright mostly bc everyone brought monsters lol. They lol at stardrakes.

    You dont have to wait till 2nd turn. Shadowstrike doesn't say that when you bring the flying unit down from the skys that it counts as there move or happens at the end of the movement phase. So you can bring them down and then move 14" with them and drop the bombs the same turn.

    yeah, any army with a bunch of monstors is already screwed given the sheer amount of anti-monster nonsense they have.

    To be honest, they have a lot that could work. Hell they can make a very effective copy of a kroaknado. But it appears like the Kunnin ruk archers is just the easiest to abuse so it becomes the most popular by default.. tad dissapointing as the rest seems to vary from good to kind of amazing looking at it quickly on 1d4chan.

    They are a lot of fun. The best part is outside of heroes, the army is just 2 boxes at 50 biz a box and you get 2 min size units per box.
