Nothing seems to be happening except rubbishy Hero's Journey events for Luke and Rey. Anakin was the true hero I feel - turning to the dark side but returning to the light in the same way.

Still trying to promote my Rogue One characters. It's especially frustrating that the devs have removed the permanent Rogue One slot in the guild battle shipments, but shards for Director Krennic have been popping up lately so I've been getting them whenever I can.

I got tired of our old Guild's lack of activity, so I've joined a new one. Rebels Alliance. Much more active and helpful, and with a higher level of playing. It has a 7 day no-play-then-kicked policy, but other than that, provided there's room you're all welcome

Just wondering if anybody's still playing this game? There's talk of something big in the works for the one year anniversary of the Darth Nihilus update which is pretty exciting

I am - I've still been levelling up my Rogue One team. I've got Jyn, Chirrut, Baze and K2 to gear level 8 and am working on Cassian at the moment, but training droids are so difficult to get it's ridiculous. Baze is level 70, K2 is level 82, Cassian is level 72, Chirrut is level 80 and Jyn is level 79. All of them have level 15 mods.

I'm still waiting for Baze to be given a new spot for his shards other than hard battle 9-C. It's ridiculous that the Rogue One characters have been made so difficult to level up and yet the Phoenix characters, who I'm beginning to despise because the devs give them so much favouritism, are much easier to get. One bonus is that Kylo Ren unmasked looks pretty easy to level up, which I was hoping for since he's so much better than his Episode 7 version, so I've been levelling him up a bit too, but I've primarily been focussing on Rogue One.

I've recently played the Rose and Vice Admiral Holdo marquee events but missed out on the First Order Executioner.

I'm really annoyed that Vader and Palpatine got the next rework. They don't need a rework. What about General Grievous? He really needs a rework!

Also, @Bowser, how on Earth have you got your Phoenix squadron so high up? I'm finding it really hard to get training droids!

Getting hold of training droids hasn't really been a problem for me, although I don't level up my characters that often. While Palpatine getting a rework might not have been necessary, and I agree that General Grievous needs something to make him good, it does at least seem like nice timing, as I finally have gotten hold of my first two "boss event" characters- Yoda and Palpatine

I’ve played in the recent marquee event and got the Sith Marauder, but as I have very few training Droids and they are so scarce I haven’t been able to train him as of yet. However, I have also now got Director Krennic, which I’m very pleased about. His debuffs come thick and fast. Now I just need to get the Death Trooper to support him... and no thanks to the devs whatsoever for once again making a Rogue One character ridiculously hard to get and making all the Phoenix characters easy to get.

I’ve recently looked at your inventories to see what your characters are and it’s interesting how our character collections differ.

@Bowser, for instance, has appeared to go all out on his Phoenix characters and Grand Admiral Thrawn - they are ridiculously high in gear level (how have you done it mate?) 7stars and are maximum level 85 - but I’ve seen that there are loads of characters that haven’t had anything done to them - no levelling up, no ability mats, nothing. This one of the more specialised approaches to the game I’ve seen.

My character collection isn’t nearly as high in terms of gear level as @Bowser’s ones (my most powerful characters are all gear level 8) but I have a lot more characters that have been levelled up and been given ability mats, with only a few being at level 1, either because I haven’t had the currency or training Droids to empower them or (in the case of Ashoka and the Jawa scavenger) because I’m not interested in using them.

@ravagekitteh looks to have the team with the most power spread around all the characters he has, rather than power being concentrated in a special few (as @Bowser has done with his Phoenix and I have more recently with my Rogue One team), although each of his characters isn’t as powerful individually.

It was really interesting to see how 3 different players have organised their collections, and I’m looking forward to seeing what new characters we will focus our attentions on in the future! :)

Also, I’ve got the Death Trooper! :joyful:

It does definitely differ. I tend to upgrade characters to level 50 and get them to gear level 4 as soon as I get them, and stop focusing on characters gear wise once they reach level 7. Shard wise I have several characters on the go getting them at once, and stores with a permanent selection of characters will have one I'm aiming for. The main reason I do this is I am now struggling with Galactic War, and my technique is to have lots of fairly good ones to get past the lower levels while the high guys take the higher ones. By the way, what do you think of the new quality of life updates. My one major issue is that now available ability upgrades show up on the character icon and ship icon in the main cantina. It means I can't tell when I have gear to equip or characters to promote. I have found a way round it though, as it shows up normally in the ship section

I know exactly how you feel about Galactic War - for quite a while I also suffered with having good teams for Galactic War. It was only when my Rogue One team became powerful enough to take down most Galactic War opponents that I have been able to start completing a few Galactic Wars. For the most part I use two teams, my Rogue One team and my five most powerful characters (Sidious, Qui-Gon, Chewie, Daka and either Luke or Darth Maul), both of which are usually powerful enough teams to beat the majority of the teams the opponents can throw at me. The only character my Rogue One team actually struggles against is Boba Fett (who is one of the most OP characters for who they are in the game now), and I usually use my other team against him as they can kill him quicker to remove his stupid Bounty Hunter’s Resolve buff (which makes no sense as Boba showed no resolve whatsoever). Furthermore I use some of my less powerful characters to whittle down the first two or three teams at the start to save my two most powerful teams for taking on the big boys, similar to your tactics. In fact my Rogue One team is immensely powerful. Even though I haven’t promoted them all up to 7 stars yet. I’ve been able to defeat both the new Nightsisters with them and also Phoenix Squadron teams. Certainly I’ve found that when both sides are around the same power, Rogue One stomps Phoenix into the ground. It’s only when I’ve gone up against Phoenix teams with about 10-20,000 more power than my Rogue One team (typically when they’re all 7 stars at Gear level 8 or above) when they beat me, and eventually I will hopefully get all my Rogue One characters to 7 stars. That’s why I recommend the Rogue One team - they will take ages to obtain and level up, sadly, but they are beast as a team, amazing to play with and can take down arena teams without synergies that have almost 20,000 more power. A true band of heroes!

Concerning the new quality of life updates, I think they’re pretty useful for the most part - I don’t need to select the portrait of a character or a piece of gear simply to see how many shards or pieces of gear I have anymore, which is pretty nice. I don’t understand your problem - I can still see if I have gear to add to my characters or abilities to upgrade. It might be a bug that appears in some accounts and not in others which the devs haven’t fixed. One bug that has recently appeared is that Chewie keeps appearing in the Cantina with rather amusing side effects, including standing around in space in the starship battles, hanging around in the light side battles display and popping his head up out of the Tatooine sand when fighting in the Tatooine spaceport.

I don't even think about the galactic war anymore. I just multi sim it. As for Gear levels, a good guild that does constant heroic raids and wins the territory wars has helped out quite a bit. You get quite a bit of good gear that way.

Well done! You must have got a good Empire squad to take on the Episode IV Rebels and win! I’ve managed to get Palpatine and Yoda to 6 stars, but I still need to face the terrifying Tier VII!

Also, how did you get a screenshot to appear on the site, assuming you play on tablet or phone?

My squad was Darth Vader, Tarkin, Royal Guard, Supercommando and Palpatine. As for uploading images, on an apple tablet at least you go onto upload a file, choose file, photo library and pick the one you want, then click thumbnail to make it appear on the post.

I also played SWTOR for a while. But I don't think it is really comparable to this game.

Not really - this is a mobile game, rather than a PC game, where you collect and battle characters rather than follow a story. There are characters from SWTOR in Galaxy of Heroes, though - I would recommend the game to anyone, even if it hasn’t got as many characters as it should.
