Just wanted to clarify one thing, we never lost access to the forum software or the content of the forum. That is all hosted on our server, so we have full access to it. And the data is also continuously backed up, so in the event of a server failure the forum will be restored to the point it was when the server failed. The issue we faced was related to the old domain name itself, since we have no control over it (don't own it, or have access to the domain account it is tied to). So when it changed the dns servers from ours to a different one, the forum went down. With the current domain, this will not be a problem as we do own it. It will just take some time now to get people used to coming to this domain instead of the old one.
Yeah y'all can basically think of it as a telephone number. It suddenly was cut off so all the nice forum stuff was still running but not reachable anymore using that number.
Ah, it surprises me we did own the server itself but not the domain. Ah well, glad it was fixed quickly and that a similar enough domain was available. The only thing still not entirely back-up are google's search results. Those still point towards the old site mostly.
The good thing for us at least: omit the dash and it works. But yeah for other google users it is not that easy. I fear there's nothing we can do about that though.
keep googling lustria-online then click on a lustriaonline link until google readjust its rankings? I'm sure one of us has time to waste
Bugmans is still around? Last time I went there the custom forum skin was gone and I figured it wasdead
I think the hierarchy of the Lizardmen seems to be alluding some of you. It is the Slann issue commands to the underlings, not the other way around. What's with the triple post? Three posts 1 minute apart each. You know you can quote all those messages in a single post. Still trying to artificially boost those numbers I see.
Actually no. I just reply as I'm reading, and forget to use the multiquote feature. And the slaan are the only ones with the power and mental fortitude for the task
