@NIGHTBRINGER @Canas @Crowsfoot @Aginor I've been limited. Wife says I can't buy any more stuff for a year. ive got lots of stuff to paint, so this doesn't overtly bother me. However: I still need shields for 75 dwarves, among other models I'm assuming. I can trade for Miniatures stuff, but she wants me to disclose the entire transaction and associated messages. What do I do?!?
A year, that's long... I've made the agreement with my girlfriend to only buy stuff once a month and limit the amount I buy to a certain amount. That makes it easier to negotiate. E.g. "yeah I know it's more than X euro/dollar/etc, but I need to resupply paint/glue/missing bits/want this big bad awesome model so this won't happen for a while" is a lot easier to sell than just going "Imma buy Y worth of stuff". Plus, if nothing else you can Always buy it as 2 months worth of stuff and then skip the next month as a comprimise. Other than that, if it's just shields, even if it's 75 of em, I'd assume you can find em cheap enough to get away with it if you ask. Just do some chores for the next month or something. Why are you limited anyway? Running out of space?
Also I've brought more stuff in because it was too good to pass up when I said I wouldn't bring anything else in.
fun.. An option could be to use more efficient storage space. Those battlecases from GW fit plenty of stuff but take a lot less space than simply filling up shelve after shelve. Plus those boxes give enough protection to be able to put the modes in area's that'd normally be no good for storage (e.g. too moist or too much sunlight). well don't do that
When you can get $400 worth of Miniatures for $80 I want yo see you turn that down. Lol. Yeah I'm going to work on storage and organization
Maybe you can sell some stuff you don't really need/like anymore and use those funds to get new stuff.
Okay... so trade old models you don't need/want for money and trade the money for new stuff you need!
if she wants to see the transaction that still counts as buying. The trade would need to be with the same party. If it's a literal interpretation anyway.
I meant, don't do any of those sites do miniature trading? Alternative option; get a bunch of modelling clay and greenstuff and the like and start making shields
But it is essentially the same thing at its core. What's the difference between trading models or selling models for cast to buy new models. Same effect on the household finances. We've gone back into a system of bartering again?
