But it literally has one model in the faction. AoS factions are way to strange for me. Some are very well developed and some make no sense at all.
Hahaha... that's an optimistic view. Lots of room for expansion. I doubt giants will see any expansions though.
meh, they're all rponounced more or less the same, and they aren't entirely stupidly spelled. Orruk, orc and ork or Aelf elve and elf it's similar enough. Though it's sad they deem it necesary.
that one is stupid though... it sounds like at best it could be a subfaction of the Gargants, like a space marine chapter. Not a faction in it's own right
To be honest I'd love to field them with their bataillon, kinda like an Imperial Knights army in 40K, really just six to eight fat giants smashing stuff with giant clubs for 1500 points. Unfortunately their bataillon is also dumb since it isn't playable in matched play, as they have no battleline units and so on.
I agree why change the name just to gain copyright, how many companies use "Ork" as a brand/faction, it's not like we see "Orruk" and don't know what it is, it's a bloody Ork!
do we actually have more specially spelled stuff? At least if you claim it to be part of an in-universe language, and actually consistently use it with proper grammar and what no like Tolkien did, then it'd be perfectly acceptable. Now it's just a tad greedy but not too disruptive.
Yeah, factions without battleline shouldn't exist. You merge then with something else, or you add units to them.
Agreed - it's all just an excuse to trademark everything. Agreed here too - I think that the Giant should have just been a model available in every Destruction faction rather than having a faction of their own, and similarly the Chaos Giant should be just a model available for every Chaos faction bar Skaven and the god-specific factions.
Yeah. Some of the mini-factions (Troggoths come to mind as well) should just be "wildcard", combinable with everything in the Grand Alliance (maybe even without costing ally points or only costing half the ally points, something like that).
Could you god-specific giant upgrade kits similar to how 40k knights have different kirsfor different types?
It's not unplayable, you simply have to play grand alliance destruction and take a cheap battleline like orruks or grots. As for wether it's good or not, that is an entirely different question
Well it is unplayable in a 2k game so it will be hard to find an opponent to play against. It requires five Behemoths which is not allowed in a 2k game. ...oh and if I am not mistaken... I think it doesn't have points anymore in the GHB2017 which would also make it unplayable anyway.
