I have an army for each Grand Alliance apart from Destruction and I'm looking into buying something to keep me going.

Which army would you collect and why?

    For me personally

    - Ironjawz are such cool models, especially the Weirdnob Shaman, the Megaboss, Gore-Gruntas, and the Cabbage of course.
    - Bonesplitterz have some beautiful models as well, such as the Wurrgog Prophet.
    - Spiderfang Grots. The huge spiders are just awesome and they are the only Grot army that doesn't use hundreds of models in a 2k list.
    - Beastclaw Raiders are hit and miss for me. I kinda like some of their beasts but I don't like the look of Ogres.

The first two are out of question for me as my friend I usually play against has those two. We try not to collide with armies.

Did the Spider Riders from that Old boxed set wind up in this Spider-Fang Grot Army? (...faction? o_O)

Yes. IIRC the faction consists of:
    - Arachnarok Spider
    - Grot Shaman on Arachnarok Spider
    - Grot Big Boss on Gigantic Spider
    - Grot Spider Riders

....I thought they had a bataillon but I cannot find it right now.

Personally I like the Beastclaw Raiders. I like the idea of warriors riding mammoths into battle in the snow for some reason. Their Frost Sabres are cool too.

I'm torn between Raiders and Ironjawz

I've always loved Orks, Orruks and the Ironjawz do look really cool but so do the Raiders and from a modelling view they have more scope.

Ironjawz can be customized very well. I've seen awesome versions, including winter IJs with fur cloaks and stuff.

...but yeah the BCR offer more variety...

No, as I don't play AoS. If I did, ironjawz or bonesplitters

    Aleguzzler Gargants!!

But for real, I'd go with Beastclaw Raiders. This is based purely on the models though, for all I know they might be horrible in AoS.

I too have the goal of having 1 army of each of the Grand alliances. For Destruction, I was in the same struggle as you, as I liked some models of each factions but nothing made me want to get the whole faction. In the end, I went with the models I really liked fluff/look/mechanic wise and formed a mixed destruction army! It is made of Beastclaw Raiders, Gutbusters, Aleguzzler Gargants, Spiderfang Grots and some Bonesplitterz! Really gives me the opportunity to create a narrative as to why all of those different tribes rallied under Rulek and Mother Zasz, my Grot Shaman on Arachnarok Spider and general of my army!

I have thought about that as well and it may well be that my Destruction force is made up of models I want to paint.

    Ponder ponder,

It’s looking like Ironjawz but I could do with seeing their rules first.

I would pick the one that let me field my Metal Black Orcs (whadda I gotta call ‘em now?) and all those plastic Spider-Riders (whadda I gotta call ‘em now?) I ended up with, in the same force.

    Anybody know what that is?

    Spider-Fang

spiders are scary, so what's more destructive and terrifying than pony-sized spiders that swarm the battlefield, while bus-sized spiders inesorably advance?

I would go Ironjawz any day of the week as they're not only one of the few Destruction 'quality' armies but they also have the most support and they're not in danger of being overwhelmed by huge horde armies like Beastclaws are. They are also well armoured, which Beastclaws seem to fail in.

I've bought the Battletome, looks like Ironjawz mixed with allies.

Just had a look at stuff that's available and I have a hit list.

    Weirdnob warband x2 £61.98
    SC Ironjawz £38
    Megaboss £18.50

So for £118.48 I would have the following

    2 Weirdnobs
    20 Ardboys
    10 Brutes
    3 Gore Gruntas
    1 Megaboss

Later purchase another SC box and a Cabbage

How big an army are you thinking of doing, points wise?

And when you say Cabbage do you mean a Maw-Krusha?
