I read it, but I don't know enough of the old stories to tell. Can you tell me more about Tomb Kings and Settra ?
I think the last we heard of them was that they all were destroyed during the End Times and Nagash didn't save them. The End.
Nope, Nagash killed them all for the souls to become his undead Army, I think he kept Settra a live as he destroyed them to taunt him. Really should read about Nagash as he is one of the most interesting characters, which books should I get @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl
Try Warhammer: Tomb Kings 8th Edition, Warhammer: Nagash (first in the End Times Series) and there are some Black Library novels about him you might want to look into as well.
I could be wrong as I don't remember all of the end times, but the last I remember of Settra was at the end of book one when the Chaos gods brought him back.
That's right. When Settra was left in the dust by Nagash, the chaos gods healed Settra and infused him with great energi. after they brought Settra back they asked him if he wanted too be one of their greatest champions that could conquer for all eternity, all Settra had to do was too become their servant. After that Settra left for Altdorf, too find Nagash and give him a spanking a thousand years in the making. When Settra arrived he stated that he would wage eternal war on the ruinous powers for even daring too demand the servitude of Settra. Settra is last seen giving a horde of deamons a run for their money until the world blows up.
I feel like I kind of want Malign Portents to end like this: Nagash has almost completely succeeded in his plan to turn all the realms into Shyish or something like that. All hope seems lost when Lord Kroak and a couple of his Slann buddies take a break from contemplating the cosmos to notice what's going on. They them turn up and completely undo everything, leaving Nagash back in the Realm of Death, all hard work undone, to scream in frustration. Not only would it show off that the Slann are the true masters of magic, but also it would be hilarious!
I feel like I kind of want Malign Portents to end like this: Nagash has almost completely succeeded in his plan to turn all the realms into Shyish or something like that. All hope seems lost when Sigmar and a couple of his stormcast buddies take a break from being the center of the cosmos to notice what's going on. They them turn up and completely undo everything, leaving Nagash back in the Realm of Death, all hard work undone, to scream in frustration. Not only would it show off that the stormcast will be the true masters of magic, but also it would be how it actually will go down! fixed it for you. - GW
Sigmar's been getting his ass kicked for too much for this to work though. And the SCE are already sigmar's supersoldiers as an anwser to the threat of chaos.. we can't exactly keep on pulling superder super soldiers out of sigmar's ass all the time. It'd just be bad writing and we all know GW doesn't do that. In all seriousness though, using the slann for it would fit near perfectly. They're strange beings with godlike magical power who's only purpose is to maintain "the great plan" which as best we lesser mortals can tell seems to revolve around balance. They're the best deus ex machina that's completly valid in-universe you can wish for. Hell, they even have an excuse for leaving again the moment Nagash has been banished. They don't need to do such silly things like build a giant fortress to stand guard over Nagash should he try such nonsense again. They can literally just show up, fix shit and go back to contemplating the universe and it'd all make perfect sense fluff-wise.
Are you sure about that? GW are doing a good job of it so far. @NIGHTBRINGER and I are reeling from the pain it’s causing us both.
