Blog Deeds painting and converting blog

So you went with my suggestion of laserbeams á la Dinoriders? :D

I've been pondering if the head of the Idoneth Deepkin Leviadon could make a good replacement. If/when I get a Bastilidon.

Hell yeah, couldn’t decide on something ‘new’ so thought on it a bit and decided it made sense to go double whammy on the big guns :D
There will be a suitably decent skink priest controlling said gems.
Hmm it’s might be a bit too big to fit the basti, but I’ve never tried (also it’s well expensive) lol - if you do it though please do share :)

Go BIG or go home, eh? :) Yes, I know, but I've also seen a conversion somewhere where they used the Leviadon kit and attached legs instead of flippers and used it as a Bastiladon. Well see if I ever get to that point! XD

Double engines, that will look great when its done!

Ha that could be quite cool :D

@Warden all I can do is hope :) I’ll let you guys be the judge of the final product

Meet the next conversions;

The Medusai-Guard
(Just fancy saurus guards)

Just for you @Warden

This is similar to an idea I had for using Melusai as Kroxigor conversions - glad to see that it works! :)

(Even if you did beat me to it ;))

Haha got to be fast in the converting game ;D

But yeah they work really well - the snake tails may be a bit small for kroxigor (I had to shave off a lot of guard torso to get them to fit)

But add a little green stuff and I reckon you could have some really nice kroxigor snakes :D
‘That actually sounds pretty good’

Sadly ran out of time today, but here is the wip Bastiladon conversion.
To be added;
-Green stuff his throat (as there is a large gap)
-Green stuff skink priests hand (casting a ball of light) - you know just incase it’s a rainy day and the solar engine doesn’t work as well as intended.
-Clean up the platform and add some small details.
-Add base details - vines, plants, debris etc.
-Add 4x skink spearmen around the base (as I seem to have run out of room on the big guy (and don’t want to busy him up too much - else I won’t be able to make his scale patterns all pretty - and that would be a sad waste of such good scales.

Oh, SNAP! He looks like he's packing Sidewinder Missiles! And is that a Carnosaur head? Nice! I like the horns on either side of the head!

Yes sir it is a carno head - thought weirdly it looked more turtle like than the original - Add the trogs long forked tongue and a few of its sensory spine things and boom - a pretty nice gobble pot of a decent basti head and yes ofcourse he needed to be packing :D
Can’t just have him plodding about with just one big ass gem of death :D

The head definitely gives the Bastiladon a dramatically different look!

...I wonder if a Troglodon head could look even cooler, a lot of turtles have somewhat long necks....

I did put my spare trog head on first thinking the same thing - but it was just too long (the basti has reeeealy short front legs - which I was going to extend but decided against :)

Just lean him forward abit

;D it’s ok I wanted it to look like he was looking up to the sky and calling down the light (hopefully it’ll look ok when I’m done)

Painting the basti as we speak
