Does anybody play? I have been looking up terrain ideas recently, and may begin to start planning out my future 40K urban terrain board, when I came across a few gems. If anyone is interested in Necromunda they are definately worth a look for both miniature and terrain ideas. Found another good site: Iron Hands.com has a ton of great classic Necromunda/40K stuff (as well as some Mordheim) sprinkled through its many pages of photos. I was especially a big fan of their Industrial Scenery, as well as Ork Terrain and Alien Terrain. Spoiler Great to see how some of this stuff was made:
Don't play myself, but I think the Necromunda setting is fantastic. So many opportunities for conversions...
I have played a couple of times and love the setting. However, I think it was a real mistake putting the Eschers into the boxed game...
Cool set of minis from Maelstrom's Edge: Broken Infantry So far as I can tell from the assembly guide, a single kit comes with enough parts for at least 6 miniatures, to include: x6 torsos x12 legs x 36 sets of arms ~ about 23 head options including both regular humans and an assortment of aliens ~ about 20 weapons to include pistols/guns/bigger guns The site had three purchase options for 6, 12, and 18 minis. Considering the price you get a wealth of options that could easily augment a Necromunda force or other sci-fi setting, provided you don't care about mixing manufacturers too much. I may consider getting a box of these guys for the conversion opportunities. The minis are relatively the same scale as GW 40K, being a little bit taller (see below for two other Maelstrom's Edge minis from another faction versus Imperial Guard and Space Marine)
Very clever - all the road signs are made of old green 40K tokens! Still working on my terrain - production has ground to a halt for the moment while I decide what to build next whenever I have a spare minute or so from doing work (which isn’t often).
I have really enjoyed Realm of Chaos recently, who did a fantastic Space Hulk game. I am a big fan of the terrain they put together:
