So THIS is pretty awesome for a game table/terrain setup idea: Would love to make something like this! Would make an epic frostgrave or Mordheim game!
Nearly all these clips were from the 1990 X-Men cartoon but the opening scene was from the tail end of Wolverine and the X-Men, a great series that died after one season. Magneto/Senator Kelly was/were the villain of season 1. Apocalypse would have been the season 2 villain. Oh well... There ware a couple scenes from X-Men Evolution. That was not a bad show, but it is the unloved middle child sandwiched between the great 1990s series and Wolverine and the X-Men. Apocalypse was the best part of X-Men Evolution. A lot of animated series start good and decay. X-Men Evolution started pretty lame and each new season was slightly better than the last. Still bugs me that Evolution got four seasons and Wolverine and the X-Men got just one. I daresay that outside of Futurama, Wolverine and the X-Men had the best time travel plot I have ever seen. My favorite part was at 1:25. Cable becomes furious that he was such a small threat that Apocalypse ignores him to ruminate. I'm pretty sure his line talking about it was "It's like I didn't even matter."
That is so on the nose that I wonder if it was a hoax and that someone staged a black and white scene and pretended it was from the 1970s. Every other past prediction I've seen on computers pre-1980 was always wrong.
That old school Apocalypse from the 1990's X-men cartoon was the best. His voice was fantastic. I always loved how he knew he was better than everyone else and let them know! He had the best lines, which is why the video clip is composed mainly of that iteration of the character.
No? Arthur C Clark was a very famous and respected science fiction writer. Here's him predicting the internet more or less in the 60's.
