I don’t think he looks too bad for the most part, it’s only his (quite literally) bare-bones lower half in contrast to his ornately-dressed upper half that I’m not so keen on. Surely if he was one of the elite he’d be able to afford himself a full-length dressing gown? I like the walking chair being an undead litter for him to ride on though, and the ornate crest on the chair behind him looks a bit like (dare I say it) a Tomb King’s headdress.
I enjoy that model, even the legs. The models Games Workshop are able to put out nowadays really has me excited for the eventual return of new Seraphon models.
We all laugh, but just watch as this skinny schmuck in a chair ends up having a better melee profile than an Oldblood on foot.
I prefer the legs because I think that another floating chair would be really lame, (it would make the Slann comparison more valid though, but then the new model can only lose).
well they could've at least made it less of a robotic thick walker-legs kinda thing. The legs just look massivly out of place. And the chair is too similar to not immeadiatly invoke the idea that he's trying to copy the slann/starseer. If they didn't want to invoke the image of the slann/starseers palanquin they should've at least make the chair a noticeably different shape and for example not have him sit in the exact same crosslegged position.
I agree with everything here. Questioning Skinks 7th and 8th edition dominance is not a winnable battle. Skink Cloud was literally the list to play if you used Lizardmen at a high level. Saurus have actually podiumed in AoS (2017 (maybe 2018?) London GT, 3rd place). As far as I know, they never sniffed the podium in 7th or 8th. However, with respect to the original point of this thread that's the last i'll say on it. If anyone would like to continue this conversation feel free to DM me. Back on topic... I full on love the new miniature. They are all so amazingly weird i just can't get enough. It's so unique, so distinctly Age of Sigmar, I think GW really has done something really cool with their interpretation of a fantasy world.
the 2020 AoS calendar is on order. we're not even present. Come on, how can you not insert a massive dinosaur?
And not one but 3 different images of Neferata on there. Talk about unnecessary repetition... In all seriousness though, it's a calendar with Black Library images in it, so of course there aren't going to be Seraphon pics as Seraphon aren't exactly the first choice for Black Library writers.
