    Hmm...

40K: I already HAVE three armies for 40K, but if I had to do another one, I'd go for one of my "If I was rich" ideas and go for an all-Dreadnaught Space Wolf army. That or an actual Ork army to go with my all-Grot force. Snekbytes, probably, so I could use Squiggoths.

AoS: Hmm... toss up between Trollogs and Slaves to Darkness. On one hand, I like the idea of a horde of Chaos Knights charging across the board, supported by monster-riding Lords and Sorcerers and the occasional Chariot, especially if I could snag a War Mammoth. On the OTHER hand, you can make a 2000 point Trollog army with 15 models...

Of all the beautiful armies available for you to choose from, you had to choose that one :vomit:. To each his own I suppose. As much as I despise that army, I have to acknowledge that there does seem to be quite a few people who really like them.

At least you didn't choose SCE. ;)

That is my favourite model that I do not own. However, since I already own a Warriors of Chaos army, I couldn't select it as my pick.

I have wanted one of those things since they came out, but can't justify the cost. It is massive, it is chaotic, and the Mumak from LOTR isn't big enough to convert into one... ;)

That is exactly how I feel!!

It is bit shorter and definitely a lot slimmer... but I do plan to make that conversion one day (since it's the best I can do). I already have the Mumak model. It won't be anywhere near as epic as the Forge World model, but it should make for a fun and challenging conversion. I was originally saving it for the rumored potential followup to the 2016 Golden Serpent contest, but that contest never occurred and talk of it seems to have fizzled out.

Here is a size comparison I found online...

Would the Beastclaw Raiders Thundertusk model be at all useful to you in that regard?

I would chose KO since their stuff is kinda pricey. Then I would invest my personal money into Ossiarch Bonereapers.

It went OOP a few years ago.
Do you remember how much it used to cost? I know it was expensive, but I'm drawing a blank on the exact figure.

It took a considerable amount of time to organize the prizes and the contest itself last time, that is why there has not been any since. I have heard a rumor that there most probably will be one right after the website receives an update sometime during the start of next year :bookworm: (Note, start of next year, roughly mean something like between January and April, i.e. when we have some downtime to get it done)

There were so many great prizes last time. It was a huge contest and very well organized!! I can definitely see that a lot of time was invested to set everything up.

Admech if I wanted to get into 40k at the time, but I am feeling really nostalgic for when I entered the hobby with brettonians vs Lizardmen. My brother took the knights and I got the lizards, but I kept growing my army while he never kept up. Definitely would like to see a nice big board with well painted Brets vs lizards.

OH WAIT... nah... I guess Kislev doesn’t have enough miniatures to make $2000 bucks really work. Would have to combine them with something.

You could try the Warriors of Dale and Lake Town Guard sets made by GW for Middle Earth as the basis of a Kislev army, as they have a suitably Medieval Fantasy Russian aesthetic (probably the one thing I don’t like about the Hobbit - thought the whole Russian idea for Lake town looked off in comparison to the other human factions):
