On the bright sight: on one of the dioramas Slaves to Darkness face a Skink Cohort in a battle. I predict the following release schedule for new battletomes: Kharadron/Tzeentch Kurnothi New SCE battletome with new Primaris Stromcasts, because, come on, they are almost two years without new battletome GHB 2020 Seraphon The month after seraphon: new edition that annuls all previous battletomes, and the cycles starts anew. Jokes aside, no updates means that battletome is near. I'm sure of it, because only very new or very old stuff didn't get updated. I really hope, the book is delayed because they put a lot of work in it (new spell lore still concerns me, tbh).
Shoot them. A lot. Javelins or blowguns can actually take them down okay. Get a Stegadon into shooting range and hose the unit down with those flame throwers, just remember SHOOTING, not MELEE range.
Yeah, i wrote Keeper of Secrets, but i was thinking to a Lord of Change. Silly me. I'll edit the previous post.
My mistake was more due to the reasoning: "will i destroy first Slaanesh and second Tzeentch, or first Tzeentch and second Slaanesh"? Chaos will be vanquished.
One thing that still bothers me about the Seraphon book but it does make me think. The Priestly Trappings Skink has been missing since the launch, they decided to remove the model from sale but can be clearly seen in the book, one alternative would be the one on the Stegadon but still. Why remove the model when the book got launched but still keep have the model in the book. You can only buy the feathered cloak Skink
meh, given how easy a skink priest with priestly trappings is to kitbash it's barely worth the effort of keeping a seperate model for it. The EoTG priest, the EoTG alpha, the troglodon's oracle, put any of those on a small base and you're already there. It doesn't get much more effortless than that. Put in some actual effort and you can easily make some cool stuff yourself.
Completely fair assessment. But. None of them have the same charm that the old metal boi with the Grey seer skull on his staff does. I'm glad I have one and am looking into a lot that has him and a few other metal models from that age in it.
With some luck we can have the skink priest released in a kit separate from the EotG as it is a decent looking model that does have a decent amount of uses in a seraphon army
I do actually have hope that the fact that nothing got updated for Seraphon means that they're getting ready for a new battletome. And while I'm not sure about the odds, the fact that it's taken them so long still could potentially mean that they're planning on releasing new models, which would explain the delay
If they have new models for us I really hope they make new saurus warriors that are a lot bigger. The current ones are to small and are not very imposing. Saurus knights would also be nice
I think the knights are on the top of everyone's list, lol! I don't think that the saurus models themselves look terrible, but they're certainly not up to the standard of most of the more updated battle line units. The cold ones definitely look derpy, though I think skinks are fine, and all of our dinosaurs actually look really good. Kroxigors could use an update, although like the saurus they don't look terrible. If all of the finecast models could get converted to plastic, they would look really good.
You take back what you just said about Kroxigors. It wasn't too many years ago that Woogity graced us with his skills. And now he's given us the TW:W Kroxigors? (I mean, I believe it's him, it's damn near the same model with a croc head instead) I haven't been able to stand Kroxigor models since they were introduced. Not with the artwork like this floating around.
Unpopular opinion time: I think the current Kroxigor models are pretty much perfect besides the fact that they are in shitcast/resin. I think their designs capture the concept well.
