Hello! Friend of mine just told me about this site and I'm really pumped to find it! I used to play WFB 8th Edition and 40K when I was a lot younger and have recently re-embraced the hobby. Went all out and bought myself (with a lot of good detective work and bargaining) easily a 6K or 7K army! I am VERY happy with my army now. Has a broad selection with three large SW blocks, a s**tload of skinks, 4 salamanders, 3 razordons, 3 stegs, 2 carno's, TG unit, bunch of terra's, bunch of cam skinks, 20 strong CO unit, 2 krox units and I can't remember what else. Like I said, VERY happy. Have played only one game so far due to busy schedule, but it was a magnificent 5K points battle against WoC. My opponent is a consumate gentleman and assured me that I lost by a small margin. Anyways, trying to play as much as I can but really loving all of the threads on tactics and so forth so thanks to all of the members that are contributing the great advice! Long live Lustria!
He beat me to it...So let me say. Welcome to jungle, we got fun and games. Your first game was 5000 points? Awesome! Welcome to the forums! Let us know if you have any specific questions about game play, painting, fluff, or anything else!
Yeah, I've been through the rules for the 9th age, but killing off all of the special characters and having to learn a set of slightly different rules for everything (when my friends play 8th) was a bit much for right now. Maybe once I've played a bunch of games of 8th I'll move on. Thanks for the welcome everyone!
Thanks! Would appreciate your input on tactics against Chaos Warriors, I started a new thread on it. (And from anyone else who's experienced for that matter) Cheers!
Yes! Thanks for the welcome. Would appreciate any input on my WoC thread!!!! Feel like I need a lot of help to put this so-and-so in his place finally!!!!
Thanks a lot! Looking forwards to further interactions!!! Check out my WoC thread please!!! The more the merrier!!!
I'm on their email list, but I live in Sussex so it's a bit far to go with all models and all... Appreciate the idea though! I keep checking their schedule, but they do their WFB stuff mid week, which (sigh) isn't really workable to then have to drive 1 1/2 hours or slug through Tube and train for the same amount of time.
