That Kharadron model in a new box set may convince me to start a KO faction (Second to my Seraphon army......of course!)
Same here if the box has reasonable price like 130 euros or something. I've been torturing myself with the idea of starting KO army since they released undeworld warband. I hope they also fix rules/point cost of big ships because that's kind of idea why to play KO army....
GW have teamed up with the creators of Total war: warhammer so that when you purchase an item from the GW webshop they will send you a free copy of Total war warhammer to go along with it. https://www.games-workshop.com/en-AU/TW_Warhammer_Free_Game_Card
for those interested, currently in the steam winter sales warhammer TW is 15 euro's. Full price it's 60. So that's the savings of this deal. And of course then you still need to get 500 pieces of DLC and warhammer II (and III eventually ) But it's a neat deal.
Meh, I actually quite like the magister, the model is neat and very dynamic. Most of the tzeentchian stuff tends to just stand around on the disc looking pretty. It's nice to have someone who looks like he's actually doing something. Also, given the rather aggresive pose I'm halfway hoping it's a somewhat decent melee combatant. Tzeentch desperatly needs something that vaguely resembles a frontline
I was getting a game and couple of DLC of TWW2 every sale and still, I think, I could get a box of temlple guard for the same money. At least, it is worth if. DOW3 was the true waste of money.
Must resist lure of the dwarf sky pirates... not really sure about that Magus though. I like the pose and that ultra-fancy Disc is awesome, but that head...
Problem with me is that when I look at KO, they look all the same, as in the hero models. Well they follow a design they do of full metal, including metal beards. I have a hard time telling them apart sometimes I like how the Tzeentch character has a more dynamic pose, the swooping/diving motion.
My thoughts on the Magus. I'd actually be tempted to swap the head for something more bird like, be it tzaangor or 3rd party.
Man, I need to strip those KO I got from a friend and actually think long and hard about starting this army. Because more floaty dwarfs is tempting. Hopefully the Battletome is good too.
I'm pretty salty to be honest. Wouldn't it make more sense to have Seraphon fight tzeentch? We're both some of the best magic armies in lore. We literally destroyed dwarven empires with our minds and somehow they think guns are a better to fight against tzeentch than magic that can rival them. So stupid.
I'm looking at the potential silver lining; Whichever team is designing Seraphon's 2nd Edition update, they have the most time to work on it, and don't have to keep the pace of a secondary book to maintain an X vs Y release like CoS/Orruks or Bonereapers/Ogors.
From a story standpoint, the KO make more sense. Current events have Tzeentch building a Silver Tower in Chamon, where many of the KO cities are, and where they frequently hunt for Aethergold. While its easy to make a Seraphon story fighting Tzeentch, the contrasting forces of Tzeentch and KO in the same realm is good for the advertisement. Tech vs magic, Change vs A Code, 'natural' flight vs 'self-made' flight. They've also said they wont ever do a battlebox with two armies that have similar colors. Tzeentch is mainly Blue with accenting vibrant warm colors.... Seraphon are MAINLY blue with vibrant colors more on the cool spectrum. Also, saving the best for last.
Silly question... how does Steam work? (I'm a console guy). The reason I ask is because the code for the free Total War Warhammer game has an expiry date. I plan to eventually get a new computer that is able to play the game, but it won't be in time for the expiry date. Could I redeem the code and leave the game in my account until I have my new computer in a year or two (and download it then)?
Yeah, you can create an account, and redeem the code using the browser if I recall. I haven't done it. I think sending Steam Support a ticket question should sort it out for you.
Steam let's you hold on to your library of games forever, no matter which computer(s) you do or don't install them on. So go ahead, redeem the code, and you can play whenever you get a PC that can run it!
I still think this was a shitty thing to do. Tomb Kings and Bretonnia shoudn't have been deleted from the game.
