I’m sure that you can only hit on 6s when overwatching like in 6th Edition? Good luck with trying to get enough 6s to take out 20 Genestealers before they blend you
only need one model to get in to prevent over watch, and a unit can only fire using greater good rules once a turn if I recall correctly. split the genestealers into 2 units of 10 charge the first one, watch it lose 9, and laugh as the second one still gets the extra attack for extra blendy goodness. confession: im a nid player lol
Imho, poison rules like this (or the handlers "poke em in the eye" role) should basicly be standard on any fodder troops. It guarantees they'l hit something without being in any way capable of actually winning a fight. It simply makes them enough of a threat that you can't flat out ignore them. Which is kind of the bare minimum level of firepower any unit needs.
Or they hit overwatch on 5s with the possibility of rerolling 1s to hit or all hit rolls. Tau like when you charge.... Just not when you make it.. Also I say we gather all the Seraphon players and post a bunch on the Facebook page. Make them hear us! Worked for tomb Kings right!?????....
GSC vs Tau Overwatch is getting offtopic. Let's just say you have to be careful and know what you are doing, then it will still work. But that's playing GSC in a nutshell anyways, lol.
<Only GSC player in town <Was once the only Seraphon player. Man, this Tau va GSC talk is giving me drone PTSD. Not that they lived through my claws.... But anyway. Poison on Skinks would be amazing .. and honestly make them even more of a summoning go to. Lol
Cold blooded was to help with what used to be battle-shock. I think this has carried over in the fact that all our units are leadership 10. Predatory fighters was a way of generating extra attacks on 6’s to hit, similar to how the Scar-Vet on Carnos Command Ability works.
I guess, this is one of those mysteries of humanity, to which we'll never know answer. Ok, since have probably discussed and wishlisted everything that we could and we'll have nothing new to discuss for quite some time, just out of boredome I'd like to ask more competitive players: what would, in your opinion, Seraphon need to compete in current meta? Not necessary interesting rules but really strong rules that you wish they would get?
Basically just make Sauras of all varieties decent, and make our Behemoths/Dinosaurs deadly... Bonus points if Kroxigor become infantry sweepers
Oh so very much. There's especially very little reason for kroxigors to not be our crocodilian counterparts to bullgors at this point.
For Kroxigors, if I was designing them, this is what I'd do: 1. Give one extra wound. 2. Give Moon Hammer 3" range 3. Replace Jaws like a Steal Trap. Instead of the mini game, on a successful hit, roll a d6, do that many wound rolls. On a wound roll of 6, that counts as a mortal wound. I would also give a small point increase with these changes, but it's a step in the rignt direction.
Id just make the Moon Hammer an alternate weapon profile for the drakebite maul. The whole unit can then swing at whole blobs, or do decent directed damage. Jaws needs a complete rework, for sure.
If you did that for the moon hammer, the drakebite maul would need a big rework or else the hammer becomes the obvious choice. I see where you're coming from. Though. Single target vs horde target kroxogors.
