carnasaurs work better in that role as they are much cheaper but take either one and drop it in the back field and it causes quite a stir
They are also more point efficient for the damage they bring. Their only downside is that the model isn't a Dreadsaurian/
Any ideas on the kind of list we should use for the Adepticon missions? This will be my first time going to a tournament. Lol I was thinking thunderquake with kroxigors, but if the rumors are true that we're suppose to be getting our book in February that'll end up changing our gameplay a lot lol.
This is the summoning variant: Allegiance: Seraphon -Mortal Realm: Aqshy Leaders: Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Great Rememberer - Artefact: Ignax's Scales - Spell: Stellar Tempest Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact: Light of Dracothion - Spell: Meteoric Convocation Battleline: 10 x Skinks (70) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (70) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers Units 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) Battalions: Shadowstrike Starhost (180) Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs: Balewind Vortex (40) Total: 980 / 1000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 200 Wounds: 49
The summoning version is easier to learn with. You have more room to make mistakes due having a Slann. The Slannless version is tailored to cripple other 1k list turn one. Thus, you need to know which targets are the most important and be able to estimate the amount of fire power to devote to each target.
My favorite list, the DT/SS build, is incredible flexible. Definitely read through the old FaQ linked at the bottom of the tactical advice.
Is tactical advice in its own thread, or part of the tutorial thread you linked? Still not 100% on top of how this site is layed out
I built this thread in Tactics instead of List because I had the intention of making an in depth guide to each list and how to play it. But, alas, the best laid plans of mice and men. At the end of my list, or at least my favorite ones to play, I generally have a brief overview of the lists intent.
And again ME tournament this sunday, in a world of Ulgu. And again I don't know what to pick in 1k ME games. Any thoughts on this one? The last one I played without any summoning, but this time I decided to bring in 1 EotG, instead of Bastiladon and some skinks with Kroxigors (I just received them, a couple of days ago, and want to test them). Basically how I see it - EotG will take objectives with SW(as they will be a meatshield and Engine will provide punch and, hopefully, summoning - I will bring terradons and a bunch of skinks), Warden+SG are my killers (since they have 3+ save, and 3 attacks now and I hope this will help me against ) and Skinks+Kroxi will hold off other objective and possibly help Warden+SG. Allegiance: Seraphon - Mortal Realm: Shyish SPEARHEAD 10 x Skinks (70) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 3 x Kroxigor (150) - 1 x Moonhammers MAIN BODY Engine of the Gods (240) - General - Command Trait : Master of Star Rituals - Artefact : Ethereal Amulet Saurus Eternity Warden (140) 10 x Saurus Guard (160) 20 x Saurus Warriors (180) - Spears REARGUARD 1 x Razordons (50) TOTAL: 990/1000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 0 WOUNDS: 72
It's a Meeting Engagement. I can't take more than x2 from warscroll, so it's only 2 razors top, but I only have 1 razor. Are kroxigors really that bad?
oh i missed the meetings part disregard me. not bad just painfully mediocre and worse in meeting engagements where there are no large units
I tested an eotg build for several meeting games and everything failed miserably. :-/ I would rather take a slann instead. You get to roll the bonus at the start of the game, are much more flexibel and less random.
Last time I played I get a lot of pain from FEC and their countless Crypt Ghouls as the guy keeps spamming them on and on and on.
that is one of the armies that krox are usful against but i've always found razors and sunfire throwers to work better against hordes
That time is finally upon us. The new Seraphon Battletome is just around the corner. Thank you to all those who have supported this thread over the past year and special thanks to those who have journeyed with us since this archaic post "Matched Play List I often Use". I look forward to building a bunch of tournament worthy and fun janky list with all my fellow lizards on the Lustria community! See you all in the new thread soon.
