I'd probably eventually build it up so its the first list but with 2 blocks of 40 clanrats *EDIT* I mean, my FRIEND would eventually build it up...
I prefer the Greyseer. Being a lvl 2 Wizard and having a warpstone shard to bite is pretty great. Death Frenzy is probably the spell I would choose. Fitting in Warplightning Vortex is also a good idea. It is one of the best spell in the game, and a big part of what makes Skaven top tier.
lizardwizard has the reasons for the gray seer i would use the warplock he can super charge the lightning cannon and buffs the jazails but both work well. thats the thing with skaven almost everything works
Screaming Bell doesn't have the warpstone token, I lied. Still a good wizard. And not taking battleshock on the near by rats will help. However, having two heroes for the army might be worth it through. At least if you are planning to jump your Jezzails about with Gnawholes.
If it's the first list, id be taking a Warlock engineer (normal, 100pts) AND either a grey seer or arch warlock.
Yeah I want at least 1 engineer for the jezzails and lightning cannon, and I don't have enough points after that for a screaming bell. But there will be one in the future I'm sure.
I'm in agreement over the first one being a good unit mix, and quite the Skryre synergy if played right (i.e. warlock engineer/bombardier wholly within 13" of both warplock jezzails and warplightning cannon to maximize warpstone spark use). The clanrats are at best fodder to keep the enemy from attacking the ranged units in that case. A point of note is that the grey seer will allow you to cast 2 spells as opposed to the more combat-oriented arch-warlock's 1 spell. Unless you're looking for redundancy on using Skryre's warpstone sparks and some back-up Skyre-specific magic, you're better off leaving the arch-warlock at home.
I got a small number of clan rats I turned into undead Skaven zombies. They are rusty and slimy. I guess that's not that different from living Clan Pestilens zombies...
Yes-yes! Chaos and confusion to the dead-things! Too long have they denied our Wolf-rats their rightful bone-snacks!
