Here is something to note, if you talked this out with a store manager and opponent, you could request saurus getting a 4+ for a slight points increase, with warriors costing 100 and knights costing 110
Honestly i dont even know if theyd go up in cost. Compared to some of the new stuff, 90 points for 10 wounds with a 4+ and 2 attacks without rend hitting on 4s or worse isnt exactly lighting the world on fire. But with a house rule like that maybe better to be safe.
I think it's to prevent people playing those dumb skink handler spam lists that set up so many tiny units that you can't actually move anywhere. Saw some people talking about something like that a while back. But honestly the best thing to do with them would be to make them give better buffs. At this point, an gastrolith gives a better buff the razordons than the handlers do, so they're only really useful for salamanders for the extra range. However, it could also just be that everything is overcosted, so why not this as well?
the best thing to do with them is just make them a part of razordon/salamander units like cities artillery
Also guys quick question where do u guys get information on what tiuer each army is in like BoC is last
https://thehonestwargamer.com/ This site posts win rate/tournament statistics. https://aosshorts.com/ Has a tournament list archive and often event results. Data on which army is good with what lists could be used to further break down tiers in addition to the win rate/tournament statistic data. Some factions are near top tier with specific lists, but bottom tier with others - mawtribes is a good example of that, with the 4 Stonehorn list recently taking 1st at a GT, and a 6 stonehorn list made the top 10, but other of lists did rather poorly.
Not entirely unlikely we might see previews appearing soon, if we see them pop up already next week, then preorders the 8th for a release on 15/02 is not unlikely, but could easily be a week or two more dwon the road. I don't expect later than that though.
That looks like the Zoat that they just revealed I'm afraid. In general there's a lot of negativity in this thread and they've only just announced this. I know we've been waiting a looong time for this and I understand why people are unhappy that we probably aren't getting new models. However for people unhappy with the power level of the army then this is something that the battletome can absolutely address by re-writing our terrible warscrolls. I'm personally a bit nervous to see if gw can pull it off but I'm going to reserve judgement until I can see the new rules. Wish that the terrain piece wasn't so fugly though but I can live with that!
the neglect isn't just in the rules it's in the lore and the models to. when we said we wanted an updat this was far more then just a book we wanted GW to fix a whole list of problems. so far it seems they addressed 1 1/2. it's not surprising to see that most people arn't happy. but you are right we need to wait and see what happens
gw also mentions seraphon are changing into "the Coalesced" any1 know what that means its on Warhammer community
Theory at the moment is these might be the new "feral" versions of Seraphon who have been on the Mortal plane long enough to become flesh and blood...but again, just a theory There's more talk of it in the "NEW*rumor*" thread. Should check there for more info.
Wait, so you guys think it'll be released in Feb? But Kharadrins and CoZ aren't out till April? Wont Seraphon be later than that? Also what's the likelihood of new models do you reckon? Aside from the new terrain piece anyway.
