I have 5000 pts of lizardmen going back since 4th ed fantasy. Almost 20 years worth of collecting. And if they came out with the total war designs as new models I would buy it all over again tomorrow.

I don't get it, the model looks awesome and all, but what is the nice touch?

I started playing almost 2 years ago and i chose seraphon because of total war's lizards. The saurus look so badass in that game.

I think they put his soul in armor ala full metal alchemist. So it’s him just without a real body.

It's only an armor,, without the body inside.

Saurus in general had better be more viable! I get so bored seeing players spamming Skinks all over the board to win games - that’s not how Lizardmen should play!

The fact that they are bringing him back (in spectral form at least) at all! ;)

Nice! I like how you included some of the classic weapons & other items from WHFB and reskinned them for AoS (unless these are also in the GHB, can't recall). When I first saw the Mighty Lord of Khorne had that reality splitting axe (or whatever it's called) my first reaction was, "HEY! Lizardmen had that firs! ...or at least something very much like it! 'You stoles it from us!! Tricksy Khorne people!!' " (/end lousy Gollum impression).

Really hoping they do bring back classic items like this and repurpose them for AoS!!

Love the New sculpt! Just look at it!

Really happy with this update on both Seraphon and the Elves. I never collected those pointy eared being. But wanting to play a mixed order with my Bretonnia! Had some good games with the current warscrolls, but they need battleline backup! Really hope those spearman are Order battleline. Why shouldnt they be right? And the new Eltharion is just great to pose as my new green knight!

I believe lorewise it could also work out, since the end times rumoured Louen en Grail Knights found harbour in Hysh. (Not a lore expert, so correct me if i’m wrong)

    anyway: HYPEDDDD!

Skaven've got a new hero in dual box set too - Warlock Bombardier, or whatever. So we are falling behind by far.

Unfortunately, this may be just out new Oldblood on foot. Looks very similar to me. And they also showed old slann on the Astrolothic Monolith diaram. Besides, there were zero rumor engines, associated with lizardment, and scaly tail ended up to be Zoat (it is funny that both RE and battetome revealed on the same open day). Look at StD warriors - just 3 new boxes, but lots of RE for them. Same for the Lumineth. Finally, this is not just a very small teaser, like with Ritual of the Damned before christmas or Pointy Aelves at LVO. This is a full scale announcement and they would've teased us with at least tone saurus model, if there were any. I still can believe in endless spells but not the models.

Time for new saurus will come one day, but not now.

I disagree on that. The end of the Seraphon section in the article says this is just a teaser. We didn't even get a trailer of any sort. I'm betting we will see something else before release of the book.

They could just mean we'l get some previews of the new rules. Not necesarly any new models.

So it seems new Seraphon models may be a ways off, if you look at how they worded that preview copy. It seems that they are saying that Seraphon are receiving (exactly) two things.
The mention of "The Coalesced" is interesting. We may have more hints once we read the book, but for now, it seems like "The Coalesced" may be preparing us for an evolution in how the Seraphon play and how they look, Down the road. I wouldn't expect the appearance to diverge too much though, since that new scenery piece seems to double down on the Meso-American Mayan look. New rules will spice up Seraphon play for now, but I'm now not expecting any new models for the near future. Thoughts from you guys?

Entirely true. But we don't know. So let's not dismiss it just yet.

So riddle me this, what if the coalesced is a rule where once we hit turn 3 we become "real" and become stronger but lose summoning?

Was reading some of the comments on the Age of Sigmar Facebook page. Specifically looking for their replies and I found two that sound like no additional models.

"Finally! Any new models too?"random lizard online
"If you check out the article we've got an awesome terrain feature on the way" Age of Sigmar Facebook reply

Another random lizard wrote a long response saying he was hoping for updated rules for our knights and then goes on to also say he hopes for updated saururs models and our artillery.

"We'll be sure to show off the rules in more detail as the release approaches! There is gonna be lots to love." Age of Sigmar Facebook

"You won’t have long to wait until this new Seraphon battletome and scenery hits shelves – keep an eye out for more previews soon."

To me, this couldn't be clearer. They would really be dropping the ball from a marketing standpoint if there was more to anticipate, and you ended the section with this sentence. So that's all, folks, buy your finecast and old-fashioned models to your heart's content, as you'll be able to play them for a good long time before you'll want to replace them!
