You dont NEED them but without ghb and malign sorcery the game becomes a boring slug fest with the stronger units winning almost every time
I know I don't need. But as you said the game becomes boring. I also feel there's some powerful realms artefacts.
I would contend the game is 'upside down' and very profit driven (yes, I know GW is a business......). I would go as far as to say this was probably the plan. Hook people in on the AoS reset; letting them use their armies from WHFB and just needing to download the rules. ...........Then change the format to one that is traditionally GW ie you cant play unless you have access to lots of product. I will keep buying though, although it helps that I am a painter rather than a gamer.
The funny thing is though, there are only 2-3 pages of actual rules in the Malign Sorcery book. Between the 17~ page little book in the app, the few pages from malign, and the few pages if detials from your battletome, your actual ruleset is probably under 30 pages, not including warscrolls.
and nope it's banshies this week https://www.warhammer-community.com...ncubi-banshees-and-black-library-celebration/
I suspected it wouldn't be lizards. I think well get our full announcement in March. Makes the most sense when thinking about it the one-a-month pattern
My hope was rising because of the hemmerald herald article and now I think they were reading this thread and laughing about most of us^^
It's fine, GW can keep their battle tome to themselves. I have lost interest in waiting for it. Decided to take the money I was saving to spend on the Seraphon battletome and pyramid thing, and instead try some Mantic games instead. Mantic models might not look quite as good, but at least Mantic lets people buy their stuff. Also their rules are professionally written as well.
I want to start with Star Saga. And to be honest, I really like the look of both Mantic games. Warpath looks really cool. Shame it got such a poor reception, from bad timing. The new Kings of war starter set looks amazing as well. What's starting to annoy me with GW, is it's too expensive, and the whole thing is starting to seem like a consumerism merry go round.
I don't know about mean spirited. It's definitely them being disconnected from their customers and playerbase. Its frustrating that we were called "one of the most popular armies", yet the teases start to feel like slights and needling. Good for Eldar though. Glad to see plastic Aspect warriors up for purchase outside that terrible value box....
Exactly! but can be difficult to spot them when they are hidden behind tons of boxes of the other 29 armies...
we where one of the most populer but the constant neglect has droped us from 5th to 14th over the last 6 months
