“For example, whether you’re fielding Saurus, Stegadons or anything in between, you’ll get a helpful extra attack with any jaw-based weapons you’re using!” So it sounds like the stegadons are getting jaw-based attacks? Will it be an extra attack profile of just and horns? I really hope the Skystreak bow gets a huge boost! I used to love it before the Look Out Sir
Hmm, the way this mentions 15 or kore models makes me think that maybe Saurus got the extra wound and are bought in 5s now? Maybe? (like Chaos Warriors?)
It may not be new, but I do not doubt they will see more use as they're presenting them than how they were originally implemented. Predatory Fighter should have ALWAYS been a Sauras baseline rule. I wonder what they'll show tomorrow. Thunderlizard or will we get more on units? Perhaps we will have an article saying how we interact with Chaos, titled "The Great Game"
I am hoping to find out about the wizards of the army. Show me something on Kroak, Starmasters, and Starseers!
It really does look like the Starborne is literally what we have now and the Coalesce is a throwback to what Lizardmen used to be like in oldhammer. You still have the high movement, summoning spam of the army but you can choose to forego the movement and go more muscle and brute force your way to victory. I like the way they have them broken down. Just the few changes they have shown to Saurus Warriors looks good especially if they improved their save by one instead of ignoring rend 1 like they shown with the OB.
It is indeed promising. I know @Erta Wanderer @Lizerd and many others were hoping for revamped Saurus and more combat heavy play. I was in the camp of don't touch my shenanigans. Sounds like GW was spying on us -_-
The "bound" endless spells is HUGE and the Troglodon is now pretty epic. as far as i can see, i'm not noticing broken abilities, but a fun and finally competitive army
I was hoping for it all... I hope saurus just have enough power built in to make up for losing teleporting and summoning. Those are some pretty massive tools to lose. So massive I might reluctantly move away from the saurus horde but we will see.
Yeah, your way of running the old FoS might have been hit pretty hard I am looking forward to see what you start taking to events though. You were always more willing to risk unfavorable match ups. Your youtube videos are always a good watch.
I’m loving this approach of “can’t please them all... or maybe we can?” If nothing else, it looks (so far), like the book won’t be short of options to ‘shake things up’ once in a while and play a very different type of list. Hopefully enough of the options are viable that Seraphon armies will actually have some variation! As a total aside... I have been lamenting the Oracle not being a wizard for the longest time, but Comets Call?! +1 global unbinds?! I didn’t dare to hope.
pretty much, yes. "If you previously played Seraphon, you’ll find the Starborne very similar to your existing rules, but better".
Here are my thoughts on saurus, particularly knights. they will get a 4+ save, and lose the shield effect. Honestly this is pretty useful. Also of note is that they will very likely get an extra wound as most large cavalry appears to have that, and saurus are large. based on the fact that warriors got rend it’s also likely that knights will be getting rend. as for all the attacks, heh heh well... In this moment a Knight makes 4 attacks (1 hand weapon, 2 coldone, and 1 jaw). Considering that they said jaw based attacks, this means the coldone bite will also go up, so now they can make 6 ATTACKS
Carnosaurs: 6 attacks each, damage 3 or d3 with likely an increase in rend Dread Saurian: FOUR DAMAGE 6 ATTACKS! *mad scientist laughter*
Oo have I been on some youtube channels? I know the last tournament I went to had a stream set up but I got absolutely bent over by 12 stormfiends hahaha.
