In fairness that's basicly a guarantee anyway unless your new rulebook somehow objectivly only consists of nerfs and even then there'd be people asking for it
It's hard to tell without seeing everything obviously but the "top tier" armies are just so strong right now, I dont see anything that puts us in that tier. Warclans, OBR, and tzeentch just have so much raw power built right into what they do, itll be hard for us to compete without a really powerful gimmick or the same raw power. I think we'll be somewhere in the mix with the high B tier/A tier armies. Can easily podium with a strong general and a bit of luck, with GT wins happening every once in a while. Which I think is an awesome place to be, because itll be the OBR/Tzeentch/warclans of the world thatll be hit hardest by the GHB.
So I was working with the rules they showed to see what things I could do and I came upon a question, the fangs of sotek add 3 to movement in the first turn, and if the warrior musician works the same with doubling movement, would it be 16" or 13" movement?
Id say 16 inch, as the three additional inches is added to the base movement characteristic which is then doubled by the drums
It's 13. You double first, then add 3. I've been playing the +3 movement with saurus for the past year with my list. Unless this wording drastically changes things, it should be the exact same mechanic. Same reason why if you have cogs you don't move 14, you move 12. All of the wording is "_____ move characteristic" whether it's add 2, 3, or double, the wording always says it modifies the move characteristic. The rulebook then clarifies when multiple effects hit one stat, you multiply then add.
Regarding the whole "can BWV be garrisoned" question, doesn't the BWV specify that the model needs to be on the battlefield? As soon as you garrison model it's no longer on the battlefield, so even if you cast BMW, teleported within range (or started within range) and then garrisoned the building, you'd lose BWV as soon as you entered the building.
BwV only states that its model and the caster model are not treated as one model anymore if the BwV model leaves the battlefield. I hope that @LizardWizard can dig up the clarification he was looking for. @Erta Wanderer Technically, they are and they aren't. It will become a hassle if the warscroll for the terrain is not worded properly, overwriting the existing general garrison rules.
Also I am not saying I am going crazy if there is no preview article for us tomorrow, but I'm just saying, if you know what I'm saying
16" you have to look at WHEN the modifier is applied. 5 move base, gets +3 on first turn before the game starts. then the drums ability is declared in the movement phase, checking the move characteristic at that time, which is 8" and doubling it to 16"
you've been looking in the wrong places. but i am often very couscous. GW beat the good will out of me years ago. and im still being fairly reserved
