That’s unfortunate. Summoning skinks with an EOTG is a great tactic for us right now, so it’ll be a shame if we loose it. They only gave one of the rolls for the table though, so we’ll have to see.
Very true. I hope the summon is still around It is reason I currently bring two EotGs to tournaments.
I hope it hasn't both of those. Or if it has, that the new abilities make losing the old ones sting less.
guys, read the command that lets the EoTG fire again in the SHOOTING phase. I sincerely think they removed the MW shooting abilities from the table, and put it in the shooting phase as a missile weapon. additionally the rolls are 2D6 which would account for fewer options.
It says you can make a Cosmic Engine roll for the EotGs. So that could be the shooting attack, or it could be exactly like the engine works now, you just get to double dip.
Depends what the engine options are. It sounds like the table is 2d6 now. with the slann maybe having the same effect as it currently does. So there might not be a summon or stop time option any more. It is all speculative though at this point.
So, with a Troglodon and the Realmshaper engine it sounds like the army is pretty capable of removing enemy support heroes in a couple turns. Depending on our other spell lores and warscroll we might be very heavy on the MW out put. Specially with Bound spells. Only bound spell that is tempting me currently is Emerald Lifeswarm though.
Geminids definitely has potential. Casting value 7 (obligatory "not great, not terrible" meme), but 18" range which is nice. Solid damage (no trigger roll required), nice debuffs. Troglodon Oracle can cast his spell from the edge of the board, add Knight-Incantor with Everblaze Comet for more out-of-denial range goodness. It's not going to break the meta, but currently I am looking at something like this to keep me interested in playing. Lifeswarm will be a great pick all around, with its ability to bring back dead models it can be slotted into almost any list. Regarding tournament play, do you typically roll in which realm you are playing? Might actually become interesting with the bonuses for the Endless Spells.
Very ture. I was also thinking about the Everblaze and allying an Knight Incantor. Combined with the Realm Shaper Engine and Trog that is a lot of far ranged MW.
most likely the :bound" feature will only be for "Seraphon wizards" i don't think this will extend to an ally
