I have just hopped on to start reviewing the latest info on our new scrolls..should I panic now or rejoice? XD
Carnosaur with buffed bites (+1 from 7+ wound model and +1 to hit from command ability) is 2+3+ -1 rend 5 damage, assuming no damage taken. That is crazy.
Guys I think this will be FAQd. I'm almost certain it's suppose to be melee attacks. No way they meant to give our Skinks that much dmg. Could be wrong, but there is always something glaring that they miss, and its OP and then it gets fixed. Just remain cautious. That being said, SKINKS RULE THE WORLD AGAIN BABY
Do we have any information on the Eternal Starhost yet? A viable guard core is the only thing I I truly wanted out of this update (also Krox buff so yay)
I mean, they aren't as good as they could be. But MWs, being able to still reach a 2+ save via spells, soaking damage for Slann, and 2ws each. Think of them as better auric hearth guard for Slann protection.
Ah damn, no they don't. Starpriest ability triggers on wound rolls, not hit rolls. So: 80 attacks 26.67 hits 8.89 wounds, 4.45 MW 8.89 damage vs 4+ save (4.45 + 4.45)
The +1 is only for models with 7 or less wounds, so it can eat smaller things better, but gets problems if they are too big.
Have fun guys. Gotta go some irl stuff. I will check back later tonight. Let me know all the cool tech you guys find. Building list is gonna be a lot of fun. 24 Terradons with 2 Terradon Cheifs sounds amazing. Specially in FoS.
Scar Vet on Carno options are a little odd.The spear is just a flat out improvement over the war blade (plus range, extra damage on charge, same number of attacks). Overall as a new Seraphon player I’m pretty happy, time to start building
I'm going to call it now. SKINK STARPRIEST IS THE MVP OF THE BOOK (sorry for yelling but i'm excited). 120 points for +5 CP, Free huge buff, 1 cast wizard with a great spell. YES PLEASE. ALL DAY. 2x in a list might not be bad.
Looks my worst dream came true - overbuffed saurus blocks are the way to go. They can go up to 2+ save (skink priest abilty + starseer spell), hit on 3's rerolling 1's (oldblood+claws of glory/CA ability), wound on 2+ (sunblood's CA), exploding hits (scarvet) and MW on 6 to-wound (starpriest). This is another "i charged you, please remove" unit. Even more mad if coalesced with coatl's claw.
Why does no one talk about the Ripperdactyl potential though? The command ability of the Ripper chief is not a hard once per turn. Combine this with all of the extra CP's we're generating on top of for a example an Aetherquatz brooch. That's an insane amount of exrta attacks for all Ripperdactyl units with 18 inches of him
I really like what I’m seeing so far. It appears to be a warclans and skaven esque tome. Want to build skinks? You can do that and win. Saurus? That too! Flying monsters and salamanders with giant triceratops. Still competitive!
Yeah, last post for me as well tonight. 12 Terradons with Starpriest Serpent Staff, Priest Star-Stone Staff and Herald of the Old Ones (Priest Command Ability). ranged: 42 attacks hitting on 3s 28 hits 18.67 wounds, 4.67 MW 9.34 damage vs 4+ save melee: 48 attacks hitting on 3s 32 hits 16 wounds, 5.34 MW 8 damage vs 4+ save 17.34 regular damage, plus 10 MW from Serpent Staff, plus 20 MW from the bombs with the Terradon Chief buff. 47.34 damage, 30 of which are MWs. Not too shabby for 540 points and 2 CP.
