Hey guys, Im building a 2k points list with Focus on skinks and Monsters. My question is, should i go for one stegadon (EOTG), 2 ark of sotek and a laser Bast., or should i go 2 stegadons(one with EOTG and one with sunfire thrower) and 2 bastilladons(one with ark and one with laser)? This is my General list: 1 Engine of the gods 2 bastilladons with ark of sotek 1bastilladon with laser 1 starseer 1 starpriest 1 astrolith bearer (im using an alternative skink Model) 20 skinks with moonstone Club and shields 20 skinks with boltsplitters and shields 20 Skinks with spears and shields 6 terradons riders 1 terradons chief This is my first "competive" list, i recomend every critic and help. Welcome to Lustria. The Solar Engines seem much more consistent and reliable than the few mws that Ark can do. I do like 1 EoTs when you are running so many monsters. The heal is very good.
is the solar engine still better with the new battletome? my thought was, that i can use the ark as a frontline together with the skinks supported by the engine and one solar engine. or should i run 3 solar engines?
The Lazer will do more damage only getting to be used in your shooting phase than the ark will in both combat phases. Either can still front line with your Skinks.
Agree with @LizardWizard , BUT, you should definitely do some dry runs with your list. See how the Ark does, and if you don't find it satisfactory, switch it to the Solar. The only thing I advise on changing ia the 20-20-20 on the Skinks. Perhaps 20-30-10? The boltspitters are great for longer engagements. You could also go 10-40-10. Again, I recommend multiple test runs of the list.
thx guys, i will test it a bit, my thought with the skins was, that on the 20-20-20 way every unit can get the new 15 model buff. i even thought about, that i use more moonstoneclub skinks instead of the spear units
