meh, I suspect the +1 to saves might work out better. They might actually last more than 1 turn then. A 40 man horde of skinks with blowpipes + clubs are just a far too obvious target to shoot into oblivion. They have massive damage potential, you'l need to spend CP to prevent battleshock, and with a 6+ save wiping out half the unit is trivial. Admittadly it might make for a decent distraction I guess.
With their flat five ups, shields are now pretty useful. I would consider them mandatory for any survivability

well maybe his attacks should have 3" range lol but other than that. also its literally not summon-able...
lost his heal for a 6+ ignore spells... the longer I look the worse it gets, I got excited by the wound count.
Well, that's unbuffed. Just keep a bound emerald lifeswarm close or something. Can't wait for people to come up with lists including it. We will see how we can buff it up.
You can fit three into a list with three battleline msu Skinks, and a Starseer. Lol. Not super hard, but it sounds like a fun list to me.
Honestly it’s terrifying. The attacks are scary as is (but we also can use carnosaurs for that role). But simply put for only 510 points and 35 wounds, it’s honestly terrifying. This thing in a coalesced army would have a good shot at taking down archaon
GUYS re-reading the section about summoning you can use multiple spell-slots for conjuration! the rules only stipulate that you have to say that you are doing it before casting any spells with oracles or slaan.
its still much better than what we thought it was before however. with kroak, slaan and astrolith that gives you 9d3 ccp a turn! not bad and given that you can choose to do that or just keep your amazing spellcasting i think this isnt the end for seraphon summoning!
