All good haha thanks for the ideas. I plan on using skinks with him and giving him re rolling ones with a starpriest spell. I agree he’s a lot of points but I have been playing seraphon for 15 years and have 3500 points painted, just wanted to switch it up now that this big guy got a fun warscroll.
Most success I’ve had with mine is summoning lists. He will buy a lot of time while you rack up summoning points.
how do you get that many points to summon him.... or are you saying you use him to shield the slann while they build up points?
I have 1530 poins of dread saurians and currently with the fact that my girlfriend is quarentined and i cant go see her I currently only have one of em with me (good ol tsu-katchka) but soon... My roommates will know the fear that I wrought upon them
Shield in the most aggressive sense of the word lol. He usually buys three turns before he goes down. Takes a lot with him too. Edit: List if you were curious. Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Dracothion's Tail Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Command Trait: Ancient Knowledge - Spell: Celestial Equilibrium - Ancient Knowledge Spell: Stellar Tempest Lord Kroak (320) - Spell: Drain Magic Skink Oracle on Troglodon (260) - Artefact: Godbeast Pendant Skink Starseer (140) - Spell: Tide of Serpents Saurus Astrolith Bearer (140) 10 x Skinks (60) 10 x Skinks (60) 10 x Skinks (60) Dread Saurian (510) Balewind Vortex (40) Bound Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (70) Bound Purple Sun of Shyish (60) Bound Malevolent Maelstrom (20) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 100
That’s a crazy heavy summoning list, would be fun to play for sure. I’m planning on running coalscend thunder lizard thunderquake. Basically an elite army with a pile of skink fodder, then I’m gonna utilize re rolling the engine with the command ability and get lots of saurus on the board as well.
It is. I feel like you have to go all in to do summoning well. You want 5d3 summoning points a turn, but that’s a lot of points into slanns and things that can get points. The reason the list has been working for me is the dread. Because he is 35 wounds rolled into 1 unit, it’s easy to buff his defense with the starseer and give him fly with the slanns command ability. This is pretty big. I can get him up the board and into my opponent. And when I turn him sideways he blockes whole chunks of space. Really buys a lot of time to build up summoning. I don’t think it would work as well without the dread. Multiple small units wouldn’t be supported well and would only buy a turn.
that is one way of thinking and applying myself to a situation. personally i would throw myself at the enemy to destroy and rip and tear my way through their lines and when they inevitably kill myself the first time i can save up enough to meme myself at them again for another big ol paintrain beating, granted my girlfriend and my other roomie arnt the best equipped to handle(UNLESS SHE IS HEAVY DAKKA GOD DAMN YOU SKAVEN). id think its one way of flexing and slapping people around as a starborn. but god damnit its so hard for me to justify not taking another bite and the -1 to wounds
btw thank you for re igniting my creative juices on how to utilize myself i appreciate your dedication to the greater daemon of the seraphon
