although it's a neat conversion the addition of weapons to these poses make it look like they're constantly tripping. They look slightly hilarious as a consequence. Though I do wonder why we didn't get any updated models given that the newest are like a decade old.
To me they look in motion lunging foward to bite as well as hit, while i agree they would look funny if most other races the beastial nature of Seraphon makes it work for me

At first glance, I thought he had used soda/beer cans to make the cylindrical units. Read the article and found out he actually used the sector mechanicus sylo terrain piece... pretty sure you could use cans and get a poorman's version tho lol. I know Jeremy from Black Magic Craft used the tall-boy cans to make a tank/fluid ontainer terrain piece, so, yeah. Haha!
Reveals for today are out. Sons of Behemat are as uninspired as I thought. Very nice quality and modeling for sure, but that's about it. Running around half-naked like their existing cousins, so barring some extremely unbalanced rules they will be decidedly "meh" on the tabletop. I really don't want to think about how many man-months they wasted on these guys, which could have been used much better elsewhere.
They say that you can ally them into any AoS army. That could be very interesting, just need to see their warscrolls and point costs.
Plastic Saurus, for example. And another questionable elf mini (what's wrong with her right foot, really?). Most mindblowing Adepticon reveals ever. Definitely.
Exchanging every damn Failcast model they still dare to produce with a new plastic sculpt would be a solid step 1. New Illuminor Szeras is amazing and shows how much is possible.
Yeah, a boring new faction which its redeeming quality should be the fact it can be allied with anything. Szeras is great, but i was secretely hoping in the silent King...
Hm... Now I'm tempted to grab the Dragon Mutant figure from Papo to try and make a conversion similar to this one to proxy with.
All of the models look very nice and clever. -The Sons are just BIGGER versions of a gargant. I don't mean to knock that necessarily b/c the models look sweet, but (as others have said) it seems a little obvious/already done. -I agree that the Lumineth doesn't feel quite as delicate as other elf models. Some of my reaction might be the Warhammer proportions, but her hands & feet seem "heavy". -Szeras & Draxus models look really cool. -Dark elf Warcry minis look pretty neat too. -The rest of the reveal was good, but didn't grab me. We'll see what the next one in May is all about. A new slann, a new Lord Kroak, new salamander/razordon kit, AND new saurus knights? Dare to dream.... but that's all it is.
May will be more Elves, some specialist systems (Shadespire/Titanicus/Necromunda whatever), and another model to accompany the last PA book after Machine War.
Hm, maybe this is a throwback to the classic HE huge-handed minis from classic WH? lol. I agree though; overall not impressed. Saving grace for me is the Khainite Shadowstalkers WC team. Those aelves look pretty kickass!! I normally enjoy GW releasing a kit that can be built in different ways to make different units but using the same "base" parts. The new gargants though look wayyy too much alike for my taste. Just an alternative head, arms-swap & decorative bits, but the pose/body is pretty much the same. When the majority of the sculpt is so monotonous, I'm much less interested.
Kind of an oddball: Has the same barnacles as the rumored Goblin Sky Pirate stuff that had 2-3 entries in previous Rumour Engines (and turned out to be Sons of Behamat bits anyway), but the claw itself looks decidedly organic too. So maybe some obscure one-off monster for Necromunda or Blackstone Fortress or something along those lines? Kind of reminds me of the Crushing Claws from the first Old One Eye model (40k Tyranids), but that design aesthetic has changed long ago. Slaanesh also traditionally has claws, but with barnacles? Not really, imho. Gotta say, pretty puzzled by this one.
Yeah, I get more of a Nurgle-vibe from this...but the barnacles instead of boils makes me not lean so hard into it...idk. Glad it's rather ambiguous though. I feel it's been a while since we've gotten anything that wasn't easily identifiable as far as new releases go.
