Hey brood brothers, need your collective wisdoms. I've been collecting seraphon for a while, and so I have a lot of the legacy stuff, the only new editions we're were some basties and a get started from last year. Figured, back then, one carno was probably enough. They're MUUUUUCH better now, but I can't *really* see a reason to take more than one. Come to today, a local gaming store is closing, and has one more classic getting started, and a solo carno kit left. I vaguely recall somewhere (maybe here) with a zany three carno list? Two vets and a oldblood, but I'm just not coming up with a semi competent carno-storm list on my own
Scar Vets are super cheap for the damage they do, which is convenient because they die super easy. Spamming them helps ensure at least one is going to be hitting their lines to unload all that damage they do. I think running multiples is better than it was. I don't know if its necessarily good enough to run out and buy, build, and paint two more carnosaurs but you do you man. Its my favorite model and i already have 3 so /shrug. Its your call. If you already have the kits, make them all as carnos cause trogs are trash.
there isn't really a good reason to take more then one (or even one to be honest) not competitively. if it's just beer and pretsels fun then they are great! but if you're up against a tuned list then they will die before they do anything we can't spare the artifacts to protect them any more
Don't listen to anyone but me about the big old scalyboiz. (Knocks over a tree) take enough to where you can have 20 skinks and 3 skink priests and enjoy the looks of confusion on your opponents face
I think @Lizerd will say: you can't have to many! I like the model for modelling and painting sake, but for list building I am not that experienced. So no real input from me Grrr, Imrahil
YOU DARE SAY THERE IS A LIMIT ON CARNOSAURS?!!??! WHAT DO MEAN THERE IS A LIMIT TO BEHEMOTHS?! GRGGRGHHAAAAHAGRRGG Buddy when I find you people you will think Skaarbrand is calm and composed.... Was it this list? Ignore the names as this is the list I’ve used to smash kavalos death riders, and each hero is distinguished Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Koatl's Claw Leaders Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur; Tezka (250) - General - Command Trait: Dominant Predator - Artefact: Blade of Realities Lord Kroak (320) - Spell: Stellar Tempest Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur; Rostal-Xhotl(210) - War Spear - Artefact: Eviscerating Blade Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur; Kor-Ax (210) - War Spear Skink Starpriest: Kro-Qua(120) - Spell: Hand of Glory Skink Starpriest: Xa-Gar(120) - Spell: celestial harmony Battleline 10 x Saurus Knights (200) - Lances 10 x Saurus Knights (200) - Lances 10 x Saurus Knights (200) - Lances Battalions Firelance Temple-host (160) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 111
Actually, we have some good builds involving one Carnosaur but they suffer from their old problem: if you compare them to other armies' behemoths, they are still fragile, so you need to pick your targets carefully
I'm going for 3. I feel 1 Old Blood and 2 Scar-vets pretty much covers all the Carnosaur needs for gaming purposes... For hobbying, I could get around 10 lol.
Ah I see you are a man of taste as well. 2 Scarveterans and an oldblood is a potent combo Im on 4 carnosaurs.
I’m still hoping Bloodclaw comes back. Using all those command abilities for free was amazing for Quad Carnosaurs.
currently it has not been defeated yet by any of my oppoennts they usually concede by the end of round 3 after they get tabled. the only group i havent tabled were ossiarch stalliarchs. We beat the life out of each other but i won in objective points as saurus knights were more flexible due to there being more of them
