What do you think of this, chaps? https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/05/15/mysteries-of-the-mortal-realmsgw-homepage-post-1/ I’m wondering if this is a massive version of the Hammerhal Herald articles and that it’s being used to showcase potential new AoS releases after Lumineth and Sons of Behemat. If so, we can analyse it as follows: Something to do with Sigmar could mean more Stormcast (I wouldn’t be surprised by that), or its connection to the pieces about the Realmgates and Dracothion means we could be seeing another faction arrive, perhaps a race of Dragon-men who serve Dracothion? The Eltharion pic represents Lumineth (who we know are coming already). The piece about Bugman appearing to Dwarf pilgrims could mean we may see him return to the realms in a similar way to Gotrek, so there’s potential there for a new Bugman model, though it’s unlikely that a load of new Dwarfs would come with him given that they’ve been lumped into Cities of Sigmar Sigmar’s trying to cover up news of Slaanesh escaping, which was always going to happen at some point. Maybe this will lead to a new campaign that precedes Third Edition or something. The piece on Fyreslayers screams a second wave for the Sons of Grimnir, because they are in good need of it for some more variety. Why would they put it up otherwise, given that most people know about Ur-Gold runes being magical? Lizards living on the Bad Moon could mean something to do with Seraphon vs Gloomspite Finally, we have another bit about Malerion, meaning GW are still planning on releasing Malerion Elves at some point.
I think it's mostly just a bit of nonsense, fleshing out the universe and giving us something to look at while we're bored at home. It doesn't provide a whole lot of new information. - A lot of what's in there is either super obvious and already been hinted at a 100 times over (Malerion, Slaanesh, Eltharion). - SCE is in dire need of an update, especially the older chambers. Plus, the newest chamber isn't even in their freaking tome which is kinda silly, so I wouldn't be surprised if they got a quick tome. - Bugman seems unlikely - A major Fyreslayer update seems unlikely as well, their tome seems to have been too recent for that. - Seraphon vs Gloomspite sounds interesting, but is rather unlikely. The gloomspite already got a recent box versus sylvaneth. And it seems a bit late for a box for us (though maybe covid got in the way there and it was intended to release closer to our tome).
that wouldn't be connected to the moon though. Unless the 4th season is going to take place on the moon for some reason.
Some silliness to illustrate how powerfull the light of eltharion is. He took down: - Oger Tyrant - Ogroid Myrmidon - Dankhold Troggboss - Karanak Especially the fact that he can apparently solo a troggboss is kind of ridiculous given that that's 12 wounds with a 4+ that heals and can potentially instakill him (or the Light of Eltharion has 7+ wounds, which is equaly ridiculous given his protection from damage...) So this looks promising...
O I know it's not the fairest and most realistic of comparisons, and if it weren't for the troggoth I wouldn't have said anything. But that one is such an extreme outlier, even for these kind of silly hype lists that it's kind of worrisome.
Troggs arent exactly known for being amazing. Im actually glad to see a foot hero that might kick some ass instead of being yet another lackluster dude.
No matter what we know now, we cannot judge what thing will be broken, until we have the full info. The only absolutely broken thing so far, that will definitely hurt a lot of armies, is Eclipse spell. Such things shouldn't exist.
Screw elves. I only wait for the moment when the new AdMech models will be available... That, and the Silent King
Looks like too nice and elegant a weapon for the Idoneth, they prefer serrated stuff. Maybe a vampire? It looks like a fairly elegant so could fit for soulblight.
