That nice walking tower from a couple of days ago... coming back from it's trek to the Chaos Wastes...
Nope, I'd still go with green, just for the greater number of books I could read. I'm a pretty simple guy and I like reading history in the original languages. You do lose something with each translation... Once upon a time, this was a normal sight in vegetable markets. Orange carrots are actually a fairly recent thing.
I think it's the green potion for me. I do wish it would grant even more languages (i.e. Cypher from "New Mutants"). I know that fluency in multiple languages is potentially something that could be achieved in the real world with enough time and effort, but so is better health/appearance. Look at how many of the potions offer some version of physical "perfection". I assume these potions are about giving you their effect instantly. The ability to instantly and effortlessly communicate with various peoples around the globe is exciting to me. All of these potions have a catch or two. With fluency it seems to be which languages to pick and how often would I really use those languages? I must confess, I probably wouldn't have a chance to use each language that much. The black potion was the second most appealing. But, I think the Mind Reading potion is potentially more of a "poisoned chalice". Although Mind Reading is very tempting, it's just that... tempting. "With great power...." as has already been said here. Actually knowing other people's thoughts may not be as fun as it seems, and the temptation to rely on it/abuse it too great to me. The blue potion was the third most appealing. It seems vapid at first, but it's a fact that attractive people can go far in this world. Especially in the right careers or social circles. The red & purple potions are nice, but offer no health benefit. I'd look nice on the outside, but I could be a wreck from a health perspective.
Very nice picture. If only there wasn't a Crane on the background, it could have been a great medieval sight. Grrr, Imrahil
