Hey all, I was wondering what you think of this list? It's basically a 1 trick pony revolving around a MASSIVE alpha strike with knights that MW on 6s getting aa whole bunch of buffs: Starborne Constellation: Dracothion's Tail Leaders: Saurus Scar Veteran on Carnosaur Artefact: Godbeast Pendant Weapon: Celestite Warspear Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur Artefact: Blade of Realities Command Trait: Mighty War Leader Lord Kroak Spell: Hand of Glory Battlelines: Saurus Knights x 20 Saurus Knights x 20 Saurus Knights x 10 Battalions: Firelance Starhost The gameplan is simple: use hunters steed, put your batalion in reserve, and then drop it down close to the enemy, teleport in your general with LoSaT, buff up with Wrath of the Seraphon, Saurian Savagery, all out attack/hand of glory, and charge in there (rerolling your charge roll with wardrums if need be). hitting on 2s, rerolling 1s, 6s on hit add another hit, 6s on wounds give mortal wounds. Damage from the weapons themselves and the jaws attacks are icing on the cake. It's cheesy and all-in as hell, but could be fun. What do we think?
the charge of the light brigade wants its infamy back lol. is it just me or does that not look like 2k?
Kroak can't take hand of glory, but other than that i've played a similarish list in coalesced. The big problem you'll face is getting alpha'd. The second biggest problem is missing your charges. With only a +1 and the built in reroll from your drummer, those 9'' charges aren't exactly consistent, and then your knights are kinda just hanging out there in the breeze. If the whole strategy is putting units outside of 9 and charging in, you'll need a way to make that a little more reliable (like bringing cogs.) Also, i've found that you're rarely getting 10 knights into combat, let alone 20. Random note, but Better Part of Valor is going to be a huge pain for you. It's consistently the battleplan i've had the most issues with with my own knight list. Definitely a fun list, but I think the whole army would just be better in coalesced. The tiny benefit you're getting from being able to keep the knights in the sky doesn't outweigh the massive damage and survivability increase you get in coalesced. This list is losing over 100 attacks just by not being coalesced.
Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Thunder Lizard Leaders Slann Starmaster (260) Engine of the Gods (260) Skink Priest (70) Skink Priest (70) Skink Priest (70) Battleline Stegadon (240) - Weapon: Skystreak Bow Stegadon (240) - Weapon: Skystreak Bow Stegadon (240) - Weapon: Skystreak Bow Behemoths Bastiladon (220) Bastiladon (220) Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (60) Emerald Lifeswarm (50) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 81
Kroak 320 280 skinks 1680 The look of absolute confusion and horror as your opponent has to chew through 280+ wounds Priceless
I would trim some skink to put a Starpriest to have them do poisoned attacks, but i fear it would ruin the list. (joking. 240 wounds to chew through would still be hard)

Haha yeah. I wanted to do an air force list. I like the image of almost 50 flying models moving over the battlefield.
If my colleagues and I didnt lose the ability to make skinks autopass morale checks. I'd of included one to have as a centerpiece and bodyguard for kroak
No Slann seraphon? Gives us more points for more stuff. This list has lots of bodies, lots of threats, double battalion, only 5 drops, and a shot at a triumph. Why so many Knights on the first unit? You'll barely make more than 8 fight. I'd put 10+10+5. An also Terradons... I despise unit of 9, unless you're doing a conga-screen, you won't place the 9 bombs; you are just paying a tax to make sure 6 does.
