That's what I am takling about. Especially that footnote states they are not enforced. I am pretty sure they didn't tried to balance these stuff. Same with 40k's new crusade feature. Rules states that you can use your crusade army on a tournament IF ALLOWED. I am assured, that Crusade armies would be banned at every tournament. Same here. At least, I wouldn't like to see such stuff at tournaments.
The way it was written suggested that it's 10x the number of destiny points spent. Presumably you can spend less than the amount budgeted. Minor hero with only 17 destiny points spent? 170 pts in matched play. Gotta say I'm pretty excited about this with all of my kitbashed and converted models!
Fyreslayers would be duardin. Krox don't have heroes to begin with so I guess that makes sense in a twisted kind of way. FEC are covered with the mordants. Vampires I'm assuming are covered under deathmages, especially as the only other "deathmages" would be necromancers and an entire ancestry for 1 hero seems overkill. meh, they stated that the pointcost is equal to 10x the destiny points. Various options cost X destiny points. That's essentially the same system as the various load-outs you have in 40K where taking a different gun makes your unit a bit more expensive. Which should be at least as balanced as the stuff they normally release. In all honesty, that's all this system really is, a move back to the load-outs you have in 40K and used to have in WFB where you pay a base cost for the basic hero and then can spend points to make it better. Just with, by the looks of it, more flexibility as to what upgrades you can buy
New points are leaked. I don't see any changes for the Seraphon right now. Skaven are getting plenty of buffs. NOTE: Not all the pages are leaked. So point changes for lizards are NOT confirmed.
The leaked image of point costs for Stormcast Eternals shows point costs for bound spells and the Realmshaper Engine (costs nothing still) above them, so it looks like we might be in there if the leaks are real.
If the Oldblood, Trog and Stegadon Chief are going down in points, I'm not even going to complain about the salamanders going up, even though 30 points is a huge increase. "Spam this one unit" lists are annoying to play, imo. And they're the reason a lot of factions are really annoying to play against. Fyreslayers and OBR basically just spam Hearthguard Berzerkers and Mortek Guard respectively, and everyone hated Skaven when all they did was spam Plague Monks.
Agreed. Salamanders were over costed. Despite the Trog point buff, I still won't take it. Lacks a command ability which is huge.
Seems fake, because we are confirmed to be in FAQ/Errata to GHB. But who knows. Changes in costs seem to be very strange. And they didn't touch kroak too, which is weird. Salamanders at 110 pts would be dead, as well as competitive seraphon. We don't have other ways to deal significant damage. They reprint all points which they know beforhand. We would have old prices in GHB, as well as OBR, Kharadron and Tzeentch. EDIT: Quoted wrong person, but you'v got the idea.
meh, unless they give coalesced a seperate point value for salamanders I'd still be pissed. Starborne spam needs a nerf, but they're perfectly fine in coalesced.
I think there are two separate conversations going on here. I was just mentioning that Vampires are in the list of Ancestries in the article posted by GW on the communities page about creating your in hero.
We arent in the book. My friend has received it already and showed me some of the Pages. We will be in a digital pdf/errata.
Its probably just straight up not true but anything is possible. Its just something floating around the internet.
