Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - March 2021

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Since I did not finish all my goals for February I will list the following for March:

- Painting 1 Ironjawz Gor-Grunta Orruk
- Painting 5 Rivendell Elves
- Finish building my thatched roof house
and (if the last one is done)
- Paint my thatched roof house

-Start my painting blog
-Finish painting 9 chameleons
-Make a base for Kroak (will require lots of experimentation)
-Assemble trogolodon
-(If weather permits) Prime skinks, standard bearer, kroak
Stretch goals:
-Paint standard bearer

Goals for this month:

  • Finish painting my second B2 Super Battle Droid unit and base both units.
  • Paint unit markings on my already finished SW Legion units.
  • Paint at least 2, hopefully 3 other SW Legion units.
  • Bonus goal of painting up a character piece.

March madness is mutely making musings(? IDK alliterations are not my strong point):
  • Finish Saurus Death Guard, i think i have a scheme
  • Do saurus riders
  • I reckon the Seraphon warband is gonna be dropped this sunday, and i'll absolutely be getting it so i guess build my saurus warriors so ill have no models but the new ones to build.

Also had time to paint a priest to experiment with some OSL.

I'll probably get the astrolith bearer done BTOTM, and maybe assemble kroak and his base too. Finecast suuuuucks. Trog is gonna have to wait till next month, along with the skinks (and the starblood stalkers).
 
Right, goals for (the end now, I guess of) March:
  • Base my second Saurus Warrior/Brave. This one's nice and easy, as all I need to do is get the grass and turf glued on now.
  • Complete my Skink Great Crests. Again, shouldn't be too difficult to get at least one done. I need to finish sculpting both their heads. One is 90% finished, highlights on the gold areas and a finished base are all that's needed. The other has been built, but until yesterday was lacking a base, so now he just needs a spray before painting.
  • Finish sculpting my Saurus Totem Warrior. This one's been interesting, as it's my first time trying out milliput and green stuff. I got the idea from one of xlanax_lot's conversions, and I'm pleasantly surprised with how mine's turned out.
