Depending on the twins point cost they could be useful for us just to generate some CP and have a decent combat model to counter attack anyone getting close to kroak or our slann
On the subject of Temples, they've already talked about the water temple, and while they don't have a fire one from what they've said, they have a 'heavens" one I believe.
I'm drawing a blank here trying to remember. If a Hurakan unit uses the Move Like the Wind feature to pile *out* of a combat, they should wind up either exactly 3" or slightly more away from the unit that charged them. Can the enemy unit then still "re-pile" into the Hurakan unit? If yes, it's...okay, I suppose. Would be better if the Hurakan temple had a melee unit to speak of. If no, it's *very* good. For the spell...I can't imagine anyone but Teclis using it to heal himself. I don't reckon Lumineth are short of ways to ignore battleshock. Nor do they have many multiwound models that'll benefit from d3 healing. It would be quite a tax to bring a Hurakan wizard just to give spot healing to, say, a Mountain Spirit. Grand Windrider looks like fun, if the Windchargers turn out to be good! And the relic looks fun too!
You can still pile in if you charged. If you didn't charge you need to be within 3" to pile in. However, even if you charged this can easily be a disengage in a lot of situations,or at least minimize damage to a great extend. Mmight also be rather good on eltharion especially if the wind temple's movement nonsense also works on him it'd be a good combo (at least in theory), in general all of their heroes can use the healing. Not sure if they have anything else which really benefits from a D3, their cavalry and infantry is all 2 wounds currently right? Maybe the kangaroos will be 3 or 4 wound models, or the swordmasters? Honestly I'm more annoyed that they get a good healing spell to begin with, it feels rather out of place and just rubs in how bad our own healing spell is.
Could also be used to get into support characters behind a line of chafe ... I'm sure the raptoroos are okay in melee, while the archers aren't.
Chaffee is still Chaffee just drop few celestial deliverences on it and swag on out of there while my colleagues go to work
Is it true that Teclis learned Magic from Lord Kroak? Or is that just a Warhammer urban legend? If it's true, it would be a pretty fun thematic list to have the Elf mage meet up with his old mentor.
aelves learned magic from the slann yes but i don't think teclis is old enough to be one of the original students
O for crying out loud.... Why would you design them like that.... They better be hellishly expensive... Also the link for those who haven't seen it yet.
On my phone, otherwise I would have linked it. But by gods. And this isn't even their full rules. If they're not expensive, we will likely see hordes of them, or even many MSU.
An auto-hit with -2 rend? And a spell shrug? On a "standard" infantry unit? If they're expensive, ok I guess. But if they're meant to be taken in hordes, holy cow! With all the buffs Lumineth can put on them, good luck dealing with them. Are the Lumineth going to have *any* weaknesses by the time all their stuff comes out?
