Iep, that's basically why this was just terrible storytelling (plus not thinking of the consequences, yadda yadda)
to quote a friend of mine. "while I think Nagash losing - and losing hard - was inevitable and is something I can personally live with, from the spoilers we've been seeing it sounds way too one sided. A rather anti-climactic end to the Soul Wars, and a really unfortunate bit of LRL fan pandering and power escalation if the the hysh aelves, more or less on their own, with the participation of /only one/ of their twin deities, is able to lay a one sided smackdown on the entirety of grand alliance death, with Teclis taking out Nagash on his own and in the process ending the effect of the necroquake like that was something that depended on Nagash's physical form and not something permanent he had done to the structure of the Realms themselves. Maybe there's more to the events than what the article linked above implies, but as it is, yeah, kind of feels like bad, lopsided writing from a blind fanboy."
i hate that he lost to teclis and not settra. I wanted so badly for the sigmar enhanced lord-celestant settrus to be the one who beat him.
It's confirmed the Battle of Tepok's Eye teased in this month's WD is a Flashpoint from Broken Realms: Bel'akor, involving his forces fighting the Seraphon, which doesn't totally bode well for our scaly friends given it's Belakor's book. https://www.warhammer-community.com...lms-with-white-dwarf-463s-narrative-campaign/ At the very least there's some battleplans to play out the ones depicted in the narrative, so we can write our own victories
Dang, we're going to be jobbers for Chaos? Sounds about in line with what GW's been doing with us i AoS...
It’s a little unwinnable, Seraphon will either job or come in and scramble one of Belakor’s important plans and be in the same role they always are. The BR: Teclis flashpoint was a really good story, though, and had pretty equal showings for the Flesh eaters and Bonereapers, making them both weirdly compelling. I’d hope the Seraphon and... chaos ascendant? Slaves to darkness? Get a similar vibe to the narrative. This also probably means we get a battle force, so a named character and (probably underwhelming) force for them to be a part of. I imagine just an old blood on a carnosaur and some saurus, but I guess that’ll be fun to have something new
could be a nice box, the previous boxes we got generally were decent in terms of savings so that's good I guess.
In what world isn't nagash absolute on the death aspect? He ate all the other death gods besides nurgle. If that doesn't roar godzilla volumes of I AM DEATH INCARNATE. I don't know what does
I hope it's a reenactment of the one Battlereport where Be'lakor had rocks dropped on him and was sent screaming back into the Warp. Lol, the good ol days.
With the Soulbound beastiary including every Seraphon unit that has a model (except Saurus warriors and I guess technically engines of the gods) and a blurb on how to use them in a campaign I’m definitely more cautiously optimistic the suppliment for them in a few months is going to be for playable lizards, there’s just not much else they could put in it unless it’s just reprinting their beastiary section
Playable Lizardmen would definitely get me interested in Soulbound On the topic of rumors, what's everyone's opinion on the "AoS 3e coming this year!" rumor that I keep hearing everyone talk about? What is the likelihood of an entirely new edition coming out that soon? And what major changes do you think would take place if that is the case?
I'm kinda excited for a new edition, bc 2.0 was a lot of fun so I'm excited to see what it brings. I kinda hope they get rid of the deepstrike spam for every army. They've done a great job making it fit for each one but I feel like armies are just getting it bc others have it kinda deal.
This year seems unlikely at the pace the Broken Realms books are releasing. Maybe next year? Unless there's actually not many BR books left, I suppose.
I seem to recall there are going to be 6 Broken Realms books, but I don't remember where I saw that, and I can't find it again, so I may just be confused.
They upped the pace of the BR books, they announced Belakor and Kragnos before Teclis was out. We're probably going to hear about any others on the way quickly. It's assumed the next book is coming out this month, with the daemon token being available. Rumors and people with connections have been saying July. Table size changes apparently all but confirmed to the smaller size. So who's got a guess as to what Army Book will be out first for 3.0? Guessing it will be a Destruction faction this go round that gets a new shiny battletome off the bat, alongside Stormcast.
Smaller table size, so what, 4x4 at 2000 points? I'll try and not prejudge, but I'm not initially a fan of that idea.
