Awesome! Ty to both of you! Nice write up too! Pointed out some things I missed the first go around. I can't wait to start building these guys, I've tried to make the deck online but there's just too much going on I lose focus lol.
Did anyone have this? I had two decks, and a random separate card Kixi-Taka in English. Then I search through the deck and I find another Kixi-Taka card in a wrong language. Costly mistake by Games Workshop!
I think that's happened to a few people, are your fighter cards printed slightly off center too? @Oh_Man I haven't got my copy yet
Mine just arrived and I too received an Italian Kixi-Taka card, lol! The English one was indeed in the box but packaged separately. I'm guessing GW realized they packed the Italian version instead of the English one, and had to go back and put the English one in afterward. Maybe it was too expensive and time-consuming to remove the Italian card?
I had a go playing them last week with my coworker. It was both of our first time playing underworlds. We went through the tutorial, then jumped into using the direchasm warbands, and finally a couple games with the starblood stalkers. As a noob it was a difficult experience as the skinks are so fragile, and I wasn’t able to score enough glory points using the premade deck to upgrade them enough. I re-read the White Dwarf article and realized my setup strategy was wrong though, and they gave some good pointers on how to run them and tweak the decks based on play styles. I’ll need to check over the more in depth reviews again now that I know how to play the game. Might give them another go! But still mainly got them for the models, haha.
Nice! The warband decks aren't usually very good from what I've noticed but thats awesome you had fun! What warband did your opponent use? @lemmy
We just used the standard decks that came in the direchasm box, and I played a game against each. The dread pageant was my first opponent and they played very aggressive, and took out enough seraphon to score a lot of glory. Then the LRL purifiers played more defensively but I eeked out a victory with objective holding and Kixi Taka doing his objective flip shenanigans. We played a total of 6 games that day, the first 4 I was using the LRL warband and learning the rules. We realized afterwards we weren't playing upgrades correctly. For some reason we thought we could only use them in between rounds, right before replenishing your hands. I'll try tweaking the deck and having another go, covid permitting of course.
I've made that same mistake too! That's awesome you guys got to play a bunch of games though I'm jealous! I'm hoping to get some games in on Saturday and finally get my Seraphon!!
With an impending lockdown I probably won't be able to get any other games in until May. Lemme know what your experience was like!
Mine finally came in today. I've never had these no glue required/push models before. Do they stay together well, or do people still glue them?
from what I've seen, they stay together very well. The only part I glued on mine was Klaq-Troq's skull plate, everything else didn't move at all once I snapped them together. Although I've heard a lot of people saying that they hate push-fit models and they cut off the pegs and glue them anyway.
Usually they don't require glue at all.... but some pieces may be glued, as some models are not perfect.
