I'd say that Lumineth's two spells are way more dangerous shutting down abilities, especially against armies with low bravery. And they can use them every turn on two different units.

Listening to some reviews of the Belakor book, his personal faction got a lot more useful for him, and being able to drop wounds off on nearby daemons, who will have a FNP/DPR for that damage is going to keep him alive longer.

    Especially if they're horrors.
So, he might be problematic if someone plays him safe in daemon blobs, coming out only when his big threats are dealt with and he's free to smash.

    Also, another vampire article.

Want to add, listening to Doug (2+ Tough) for the lore really does put those lore synopses other sites do to shame.

Seraphon were well characterized from what he tells. And we basically won a great victory for the realms in Part 1.

Drop wounds on nearby daemons? Is that one of his subfaction abilities?

Yeah, didn't see the rule, but his specific allegiance was changed from the WotE book. All (?) Chaos Daemons can essentially bodyguard him if I heard right. The range is a bit shorter, but with his big base, I don't think it's going to be hard.
And they get a 6+ For/Fnp as an army trait alongside that.

Well that fixes the problem of him being too easy to kill. Though bit odd that it's put as an allegiance ability and not as a warscroll ability...

Anyways, then he's fine I guess, maybe even a tad powerfull with his high damage output.

Listened to the 2+ Tough videos on the Seraphon in the Be'lakor book, and he definitely makes it sound like they accomplished a significant victory, and that the realmgate destruction was more something that Be'lakor saw and capitalized on rather than something he tricked them into doing.

However, he hasn't released the final video yet, so there's still a chance that it could be revealed that Be'lakor was pulling the strings the entire time.

Bit random but was just browsing the forgeworld store and the home page was showing the dread Saurian promoting the Seraphon, literally never seen it advertised on the home page like that before?! Coincidence or a sign of upcoming things?!

Well, we're getting the first new models since AoS came out (Kroak, Starblood Stalkers), and GW has been updating old armies like Slaanesh and Vampire Counts. We know they still have Umbraneth and Kragnos' faction coming at some point, but maybe they're finally running short on new army ideas and are looking more towards expanding and updating current ones.

While we honestly probably need it the most, Skaven, Cities and Beastmen also really need model updates.

I feel silly for jumping the gun and assuming that Lord Kroak was being an idiot in the story.

Skaven have really old models. Honestly, they could get a lumineth style treatment for all of their clans and it would be amazing. New rat ogors, new clan eshin entirely, brood horror in a SC moulder? All new weapons teams. I know we're (obviously) a bit bias towards lizards, but I think Skaven miiight need a bit more. They still have metal models!

I wouldn't mind a Skaven range refresh, as long as it's expansion, not cutting units. Weapon teams in plastic would be so good. The PWM and Warpfire thrower from Isle of Blood were so good....

If PWGs finally go plastic, I'll have to actually start paying attention to my grey horde in a plastic tote....

Apparently he let slip the location of Eater of Tomes. But how, or through what means, is kind of suspect.

Be'lakor definitely came off looking better in this book, but we know for sure Kroak is still pulling strings and playing a game, likely the Great Game, over everyone else's head.
Its mentioned that Be'lakor managed to blind all the Seers and Prophets to his plans.... Yet Kroak clearly sent/warned Gardus after the plan was put into motion, directing him to Vindicarum to help defend the city.

I really like how the Nighthaunt got something out of this too, though I was hoping Lady O would have made good on her curse and turned on Be'lakor in the middle of the fight.

This was honestly a good story beat.
