Don't the ogers only get 1 wound per dice not D3? D3 per dice still seems extreme. That'd still average 5-6 mortal wounds before it ever does anything. And 10-ish wounds won't even be exceptional with those odds. That'l allow it to tear apart pretty much anything without a ward-save without really even trying.
tis a god canas. this is not all that strange for 800 point models. i know you don't like those but most of them don't matter and even this one a 10 man screen nerfs him rather hard
Was there any authority behind the claims that Kragnos will be 18w on a 2+ save or Was that just rumor? If he has a MW save this lad is going to be hard to shift.
yes when they first showed him off they said the 2+ save bit. we don't know if he has a ward but he is practically immune to magic
So 2+ save, almost immune to magic and with the potential to deliver 36MW on the charge... there's no way this guy will be under 600pts, assuming he has ~18 wounds.
Wanne bet he can also pile in 6" or can run over screens much like the gargants' longshanks or some other similar rule to allow him to largely avoid screens unless they're placed perfectly? More importantly though, it makes me wonder how exactly he's going to be balanced. Because the only things I can really think of that are realistic "counters" right now are well, rather lame if they're decently effective. If you can easily bog him down he'l be a rather lame god. If you can't he'l be a extremely powerfull unit. Neither of those seem like good situations.
GG GW, apart from the book and the characters we knew, it also comes 4 army boxes, Sylvaneth, skavens, BoC and Slaanesh confirmed with my local store
Even if Kragnos has semi-fly, you will be able to stop him with proper unit placing. There's a chance he won't benifit from any allegience, if he is taken Gotrek-style. To be a good centerpiece miniature these days, you have to have a couple of tricks in the sleeve, like Teclis or Archaon, or be super-undercosted.
Weird choice of models for the boxsets. BoC one looks to just be a Shaman. At 9 models, the Slaanesh one must be an Epitome, three Fiends and five of something else (probably Seekers if the box is meant to be daemon-themed). Drycha will come with either Dryads or Revenants, so what's with Skaven? Looks to be that hero from that battle box a while back, but what Skaven unit is plastic and comes in 2s or 4s?
Goddammit, GW! They really want to push shitty stormfiends when Skaven are in desperate need of newer sculpts for at least half of their units...
I mean sure. But in that case what's the point? At least Gotrek was introduced as kind of a joke unit with absurd stats and a glaring weakness. This one's supposed to be a serious model. Gotrek isn't intended to be a competitive model like this one is. Point isn't that Gargants are good, point is that Kragnos is either going to need a similar ability to be able to avoid screens or he is going to be a completly useless unit in most matchups because he's too easy to shut down. But if he can avoid screens effectivly that'd make him a giant pain to deal with. So neither situation seems particularly good for the game as a whole...
Im not really sure what you are getting at here. Stormfiends are their most recent model and arguably the best sculpt in their range. And have incredible rules. Seems like a good option for the box set personally.
Kragnos warscroll, the rampaging destruction is insane, bye bye monsters.... https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/ZxdBRlSj3WkAfOAG.pdf
