Yeah i've played WE a few times now, their shooting is super scary. Chamo skink and Terradons are both good options, but I've found Cowboys to be super effective. If you kit one out with a good rerollable armor save and/or ward, they can weather almost all WE shooting except Arcane Bodkins, which are really rarely played. I would run one, maybe two. T4 will help your saurus against a turn or two of shooting but not much more. Remeber they have really good light cav so stay on the lookout, and take advantage of those quick to fire javelin skinks! I'm kind of new to 8th so my advice probably has a bunch of flaws, but that's where more experienced players like @Lizards of Renown and @NIGHTBRINGER step in!

Waywatchers are far more dangerous against armour than Arcane Bodkins. Waywatchers can completely ignore armour and they are some of the very best units in the WE roster. They're especially deadly when combined with the Lore of Shadows to reduce the opponent's toughness.

Thanks @The Great White Lizard, jeez, that's quite the introduction!

    Hi Bruno!

I haven't seen an introduction so welcome to Jurassic Park!

Like was said, Chamo Skinks are good. Skink Skirmishers are good (don't forget to have your opponent take the additional -1 to hit as they are Skirmishers).

I'm personally not a fan of the Terradons, but I have seen them used effectively. You could also try running Tik'taq'to and having the unit of Terradons arrive as Ambushers.

I think Cowboys are a good idea. Cold One Riders could be efficient as their high save would be good for drawing fire away from your Saurus blocks as they advance.

So, before we continue talking about troops, we need to back up a step:

    1) Do you know the Wood Elf army book?

    2) Do you know your OWN army book?

    And most importantly

    3) what strategy are you planning to use?

This is the biggest point on choosing your list (in my own humble opinion.)

I know The wood elf book farily good and I know The lizardmen book by heart
Im looking for tips and triks becoss im having a hard time making a good list on only 1000pt thats the bigest point.
I dont like teradons i do not see what is amazing whit them but thats my opinion and ripers are youst a one trik ponny that can get shot down fast whether its from shoting or magic.
Camoskinks is a good idé i think.
I more or less know that he Will have Waywatcher and wild Riders. I faces him whit 2500pts and I roled kroak and he did the trik that time but on 1000pts i relly relly nead to count eavery point
Thanks for tha awnser and greating

    No problem on the language!

Okay, so in this case. What do you think (based on playing your friend previously) he will use for tactics?

I fully agree with you on the Rippers. I have never used them as they are too squishy with not high enough initiative to make them worth it.

Chamo Skinks for sure. Skink Skirmishers for the light Cav (remember that they can also March and shoot and if you give them Javelins then with Quick to Fire they always can stand and shoot and don't get a -1 to hit for moving.)

As a general point I would use Saurus Cav to distract, have some large blocks of Saurus with a High Magic Slann and use walk between world to get where you need to go.

Stegs are a must in my opinion.

    Cowboys will be super useful.

Unfortunately at 1000 points one cannot take a slann. I would run one cowboy as you need to run a skink priest for magic and you only have 250 points for heroes. Stegs are pretty good, but that's a lot of points you're throwing at a monster that might be killed pretty easily by some shooting with hagbane tips. You probably won't have room for both a steg and a COR bus at the same time, so It's a tough call. With skink priests your hero allowance will be taxed to its limit, which means you won't have as many points to invest in the cowboy's magic items, so he'll prob be a lot more squishy than usual. Be careful! Your saurus blocks will stand up to anything in his army, but if he get's a hammer anvil charge on the with a unit of wild riders when the block is already weakened by shooting the block will fall.
