Actually in regards to the starpriest from underworlds. He has his own rules and I believe they would require you to use them. The one that's closest to my place is like that
I have the old one with the priestly raiment, the skaven skull staff, as well as a scratch built one from the Trog, and a third that's a 3rd party miniature.
Definitely, can't say I'd get it now if I was in the market but I picked it up when I started the hobby
I have 2 metal priests from 15 or so years ago, 1 that I painted back then and another I just painted recently. I actually like them better than the newer one with the feather cloak to be honest.
That's the stuff that annoys me. I don't like when my heros look the same. There is a new Warhammer cafe opening not too far from me and I am curious how strict they will be with proxies and what not. It really shouldn't matter in casual play.
Not just that, but it's also just a lot easier to distinguish them if there's obvious visual differences. And sure you can paint one a different colour, but something like a different pose, different weapons, or a completly different model makes it so much easier.
I lucked out with getting the metal skink heroes blister way back when, which included two skink chiefs (one with club and shield, the other with blowpipe) and two priests (cloak of feathers on one, sacrificial dagger on the other). I don't typically play with priests in my lists, so I haven't put much thought into them. For silliness however, I'm strongly considering using my Tehenhuain mini as a starseer at some point.
ard boys +20 brutes +50 gore gruntas +30 fist of gork +60 maw krusha +80?!? magaboss +20 warchanta -10 shaman +10 Idol +60 wow poor brutes. they weren't very good at 130 let alone with a 50 point increase. also kind of odd that chantaa whent down what with it being the best thing they had
warchantar suffers from not being able to buff larger units anymore, so I guess that's why he's slightly cheaper? Brutes benefit from being a small elite squad that neither needs buffs, nor needs to be in large groups. And with hordes being hamstrung by the reinforcement nonsense small elite squads like that should theoretically be good. Admittadly, if that's going to be true in practise is another matter entirely. But I'm guessing that's their reasoning. As for the maw-krusha. With more MSU running around I guess his destructive bulk ability is going to be more likely to be devestating. On top of the new monstrous rampage rules that's probably why he got a significant point increase. Though 80 still seems rather harsh. Makes me curious how expensive other behemoths will be.
I'm just hoping the trog doesn't go up too much, they're already too expensive and I want to try one in a DT list to start 3rd edition
I dont believe this leaks, but we're 3h away to know if they are true. Warchanter has a cost of 140 or 100?
I do this. He's on the proper base. That's all that really matters. Otherwise he's be a useless Legends unit.
