You are the like the king of nerdy pop culture memes but there is like a gazillion nerd pop culture things you don't watch or use. I would recommend any one not familar with Rick and Morty to watch Season One, Episode 5. "Meseeks and Destroy" Meseeks and Destroy is probably not the best or the funniest episode but it highlights all the main characters and it provides a good example of the format the show has. With a an A-plot around Rick and Morty's adventure and a B-plot around their family members. If you like "Meseeks and Destroy" it's a good bet you will like most/all of Rick and Morty. If don't like "Meseeks and Destroy", it's a good bet you won't like most/any of Rick and Morty.
Thank you for the suggestion, I will take this into consideration as I have not watched it either and have been curious as to whether I should.
Yup... that is me to a tee. I don't really try new things very readily. Take war gaming for instance, some people play dozens of different games, I choose to focus on a single one. I don't watch a great variety of movies, but rather re-watch the ones I really love. I'm the type of person why studios focus on making sequel after sequel. I'm far more likely to watch a sequel/off-shoot/remake (even knowing it will likely disappoint me) than take a chance on something new. Instead of watching Rick & Morty, I re-watched the entire Castlevania series! That said, I may one day give Rick & Morty a try. Several of my friends have told me that I would probably like it.
