I am fairly new to AoS and before AoS 3 was announced I bought 3 of the Broken Realm boxes to start a Thunderlizard Monster Mash army for Seraphon.
I am not sure how good that type of list still is without the Battalion.

I am mostly in it for the looks rather than being competitive but still want it to work somewhat incase I play.
    Would this be any good?

    Stegadon with Skink Chief (305)
    Engine of the Gods (265)
Engine of the Gods (265) or Skink Oracle on Troglodon (270) or Carnosaur (215-270)?
    Skink Starpriest (130)
    Stegadon (265)
    Stegadon (265)
    Stegadon (265)
    Bastiladon with Solar Engine (235)
    Total: 1995 / 2000

I was told the Skink Oracle on Troglodon is not great but I figured a little variety might look nice, is he that bad? Would a Carnosaur be better? I just remembered the EotG can summon Saurus Warriors
Maybe one day ill get a Kroak too

EDIT: I could take out a Stegadon for 20 Skinks and 3 Riders if it will make a big difference?
EDIT2: I was informed that I might need a Starseer or Slann for CP generation?
EDIT3: btw I would like to avoid older models (like Saurus models) as much as possible.

Welcome! A slann would definitely be advised, whoever told you that you should run one for CP generation was correct. I'd recommend you cut the second engine for the slann, and actually run a normal skink priest instead of the starpriest. The regular priest generally synergizes better with the big skink monsters. They can give your bastiladon +1 to hit with their CA in the hero phase which you can then double shoot with in the shooting phase for example. Also, giving run/shoot/charge to your skink chief on steg or even a normal steg is quite valuable. With that change you have 55 points to spare so maybe just look into an endless spell and you're good to go

Thank you for the welcome and the advice.
Do you think I can still use the Starpriest as a proxy for the Priest? I have never played before so I don't know how people would take that.

I just bought a Skink Start Collecting box so I can use him.

Im so worried they will come out with a new Slann like they did with Kroak lol.

I don't think people would generally mind if you use the starpriest model as a priest. In fact, with how often the words "star" and "priest" occur in the names of our skink heroes, you could just tell them it's the priest model and chances are they'd believe you!

There are rumors floating around that we'll be getting a range refresh and I think it's true based on some things that have happened, like the new kroak release, us getting much more focus in the lore, stuff like that. I could understand wanting to hold out a bit for an updated slann, in that case just build the other steg as a normal one. 2 engines isn't great because you can only use 1 per turn even if you have multiple

I agree with what was said, swap an engine for slann, take a priest instead of starpriest then i guess you can have a look at an endless spell with the spare points or a good triumph bid
