Heresy! One xenos down, two more rise to take their place. And then the first one gets back up thanks to his "I'll Be Back" terminator rule so their are three of them. So many xenos, not enough time! Also excellent work Really like that model and the two dudes up front on the control panels. In other xenos-slaying news, I converted up my Watch Master!
yep, that's it! and here's one of the responsible: the Chronomancer, bringer of green gift packages for all the good necrons that follow their command protocols.
It looks awesome and has a hell of a range, but the rest of the stats do not say anything to me Grrr, Imrahil
It means that Hammerheads with railguns will be reliably able to take down heavy targets, and can relatively easily one-shot smaller vehicles and tanks. No invulnerable saves basically means no ward saves, and it's crazy high strength and AP (rend) mean that it will be hard to even get normal saves against it. I'm guessing the Tau will be leaning back into becoming the best shooting army. Which makes sense, but I was kind of hoping that they'd give them ways to participate in the rest of the game and not just the shooting phase. But at the very least it looks like GW is trying to make up for Tau being the weakest army in the game right now. Let's hope that they don't full codex creep them, though, because people already hate them for no reason. Having a reason to hate playing them would make them even more of a meme than they already are.
Finished my fourth Reiver today, and he is a new favorite: Brother Baldric of the Space Wolves! Comes with a bolt carbine able to be swapped in, and I really need to give him a set of lightning claws! Blackmanes Great Company heraldry: That gun looks powerful
i would happily trade it for something less OP but to have kroots as viable melee option, to give T'au more versatility
I hope it’s not a Chaos Knight, never liked any form of Knights since the Wraithknight started the whole debacle in 6th Edition. A Daemon Engine would be good though, I noticed the very first image in the video looked like one of the Forgefiend’s Hades cannons, so my guess would be another Daemon Engine armed with the same weapon. The Daemon Engines are one of the more interesting parts of Chaos Marines they should continue to expand. Besides, why are we talking about that when we have the Parasite of Mortrex incoming at last? It’s about time GW gave Tyranids more than 3 special characters...
WARNING: INACCURATE MEME: The second pic's text should be: "Horde players looking at Submunition strat"
Well, Tau have retaken the award for BS OP 40K unit of the year. Nothing, I repeat nothing, should ignore Invulnerable saves, particularly the Railgun which has never done so until now.
I tend to agree to a certain point. I can see unique units as the nightbringer ignore inv... we are talking about fragments of a God. But other than that? No way.
Yeah, there's no reason for the railgun to ignore invulns - it's already got insanely high AP as it is. I can see it being a thing with titan-killer weapons like the volcano cannon or plasma blastgun, but this isn't such a weapon. I guess they wanted to "balance out" something, but now we have an "anti-tank" weapon, in a game where vehicles were already about as durable as tissue paper to mid-strength infantry weapons, that can one-shot a primarch in a very gross disparity in power and points. That's not going to be fun to use or play against.
eh, this is the issue when you have a problem (the increase of multi-wounds units with inv. saves scattered everywhere plus transhuman, or abilities that duplicates transhuman), but the chosen "fix" is to create OP weapons that bypass those, so you just end with more problems. aka: two wrongs don't make a right.
